Senior Copywriter

We seek someone who can write powerful product and editorial copy for print, web, e-mail and video. The ideal candidate has experience collaborating with a creative team to tell a distinctive brand story with copy and images. As a skilled and persuasive leader, you advocate for concepts and copy in pitch sessions with marketing and merchandising partners.

As copywriter, you will invite gardeners to develop a lasting relationship with Gardener's Supply, drive product sales and campaign response. Through benefit-oriented and inspirational copy, you'll convey our passion for, and market leadership in, product innovation, earth-friendly gardening, and nature-inspired gifts and decor. You will motivate all gardeners, from beginner to expert, to find great joy in gardening.

Gardening experience is extremely desirable.

Database Application Developer

Our IT department is looking for an energetic Applications Developer to join our dynamic Technology Team. Our ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience supporting and developing Microsoft Dynamics AX (2009/2012 preferred). A strong knowledge of the X++ language and Dynamics data model is preferred. MS SQL Server development and administration skills a plus, as are general .NET development skills.

Store Manager, Williston Garden Center

The Store Manager will ensure a dynamic and unique experience for customers by providing exceptional service, merchandising and ambiance. As part of the leadership team for the retail division, the Store Manger will help the Retail General Manager set strategy.

Qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated success leading a multi-departmental or multi-unit retail organization of similar scale/volume
  • At least five years of experience in leadership/management and four years in customer service
  • A proven record of creating, managing budgets and achieving financial goals
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to stay organized, focused and calm in a busy and dynamic environment
  • Experience working at a garden center or nursery is a huge plus

Inventory/Merchandising Lead, Burlington Garden Center

This person will be responsible for the efficient and accurate flow/placement of product from arrival of delivery truck to the sales floor. Responsibilities also include training and follow-through related to shipping, receiving, store product transfers, and trouble-shooting inventory discrepancies. Our ideal candidate will have 2 years inventory related experience; 2 years direct customer service experience; experience with leading a team; POS and inventory management system experience; gardening/ horticultural knowledge; and strong Microsoft excel skills required. Full-time, year-round position with benefits.

Call Center Sales and Service Specialist

We're searching for several people to join our call center team. These employees will be on the phone with customers, building relationships and representing our company in ways that reflect our core values. In addition, they will contribute to average order size and strive for customer satisfaction on sales and service calls.

Qualifications include:

  • Experience in service and sales
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • The ability to research solutions to customer problems or to answer questions

These call center positions are full-time, benefit eligible, with two off-season layoffs: midwinter and midsummer-early fall. Total time of both layoffs is 24 weeks.
