Spring is here! We're looking for avid gardeners, reliable, and quick learners who are enthusiastic, outgoing, upbeat, flexible, team-oriented and who will thrive in a busy store! Ability to work weekends is a must.

  • Delivery & Installation Foreman: Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, as well as excellent customer service and organizational skills. Strong leadership skills required; experience leading a team preferred. Must also have experience with landscape design and a familiarity with heavy equipment. Knowledge of trees and shrubs a plus. Position begins in April.
  • Delivery Driver: Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, as well as excellent customer service skills. Previous landscape experience a plus. Position begins in April.
  • Yard Associates: Must have excellent customer service skills. Experience with skid steers, bobcats, and heavy equipment a plus. Full-time and part-time openings will start around mid-March.
  • Customer Service Associates: Must have a minimum of one year of customer service experience and must enjoy working with the public. Gardening experience is a plus; cash register experience is required. Full-time and part-time openings will start around mid-March.
  • Perennial and Nursery Associates: Perennial Associates must have a strong working knowledge of perennials, combined with excellent customer skills. Nursery Associates must have a minimum of one year of nursery experience, excellent customer service skills and a strong working knowledge of trees, shrubs, and woody ornamentals. Openings will start in mid-April.
  • Growing/Greenhouse Associates: Must have strong working knowledge of annuals & vegetables, as well as excellent customer service skills. Full- & part-time starting early March.
  • Live Goods/Hard Goods Receiving Associate: Must have strong organizational and communication skills; inventory control and plant knowledge preferred. Full-time position starting early March.

Burlington, Vermont

Business Development Manager, Retail

This position supports the Company’s growth through managing garden center acquisitions and business partnerships. Responsibilities include:

  • Recommending potential acquisition candidates by researching and analyzing market data, competition and criteria, among other diverse factors.
  • Overseeing candidate outreach and evaluation, coordinating the financial modeling, and negotiating and executing selected transitions.
  • Partnering with leadership members to implement acquisition and negotiation strategies along with supporting activities.

The position requires travel for up to 50% of the time. Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or a related field, a minimum of 5 years’ relatable experience managing asset acquisition projects, and facility with financial modelling. The right candidate will be excellent with communication, relationship development and will be able to work independently with a great deal of latitude. This is a full-time, year-round position averaging 30 hours per week.

Art Director, Burlington, VT

This person will create inspirational customer experiences through visual design, imagery, and video that drive engagement and sales. S/he will direct photo teams to execute brand and seasonal look and feel, while meeting commerce and content requirements. S/he will design compelling digital and print campaigns from templates through publication. The preferred applicant will possess over 7 years of photo and video direction and graphic design with an emphasis on digital. Experience with UI/UX design principles; working with video scripts, storyboards, and shot lists; and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, Mac OS and Microsoft Office software is preferred.
