Administrative Assistant, Lebanon, NH

You will provide exceptional service by managing inbound phone calls and e-mail. You will also manage employee schedules, supply ordering, system reporting, and invoice processing. You will assist and coordinate with multiple departments including HR and Marketing. Our ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel; excellent customer service, communication, team building and listening skills. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position.

Customer Service Lead, Lebanon, NH

You will be responsible for the daily supervision of the indoor garden center selling space, including hard goods, gift, and tropical. You will act as the store expert on front end (POS & Internet) operations, ensuring all staff receives appropriate initial and ongoing training and direction. Our ideal candidate will have experience supervising a team, individual, or tasks; 2+ years direct customer service experience; and 2+ years POS experience.

Hardscape Specialist, Lebanon, NH

You will partner with the Yard and Delivery teams to ensure safe and prompt loading and delivery of all hardscape products. Our ideal candidate will have 2 years customer service experience, 2 years hardscape sales or landscape installation experience, a strong foundational knowledge of hardscapes, and a passion for working with stone.

Receiving Specialist, Lebanon, NH

You will be responsible for the efficient and accurate flow of inbound product from arrival of delivery truck through to the sales floor. Effective organization and efficiency of the stockroom, seasonal task prioritization, as well as leading seasonal inventory associates in the receiving process are also key responsibilities. Our ideal candidate will have 2+ years inventory-related experience, POS and inventory management system experience, advanced gardening/ horticultural knowledge, and excellent Microsoft Excel skills.

Delivery & Installation Lead, Williston Garden Center, Williston, VT

The Delivery & Installation Lead will provide effective coordination and communication between our landscape designers, outside contractors, Delivery & Installation Team, and customers, while providing day-to-day oversight of the technical operations of the department. Our ideal candidate will have 2+ years of direct customer service experience, and landscape design experience, as well as experience leading a team. Strong organizational and computer skills are required, horticultural degree preferred. This is a full-time, year-round, benefit-eligible position.

Commercial Customer Service Associate, Williston Garden Center, Williston, VT

The Commercial Customer Service Associate will provide prompt and knowledgeable service to our commercial and retail customers. Our ideal candidate will have intermediate plant/gardening knowledge with a focus on trees, shrubs and perennials; excellent customer service and communication skills; and basic design & landscaping skills. This is a full-time, 10-month, benefit-eligible position.

You must be able to lift up to 40 to 50 lbs. for the following positions:
Campus Gardeners: Gardening experience required.
Yard Associates: experience with heavy equipment & valid driver’s license required.
Delivery & Installation Associates: Landscaping experience preferred, valid driver’s license.
Live Goods & Hard Goods Receivers: Inventory
experience, strong attention to detail required.

Vice President of Merchandising, Burlington, VT

Reporting to the President & CEO, the Vice President of Merchandising will be responsible for developing and implementing an integrated merchandising strategy for all customer-facing direct channels, while also supporting the retail program. Programs developed are expected to expand and sustain the Company's customer and revenue base.

This exceptional opportunity brings broad, yet key, responsibilities, that include:

  • Participate in the leadership of Gardener's Supply as a member of the Key Manager executive team;
  • Work in partnership with the Key Manager group to develop and implement the GSC corporate plan;
  • Play a key role in developing the Gardener's Supply assortment strategy and overall strategic plan;
  • Interface with the Board of Directors;
  • Build a great team. Provide direction and coaching to develop talent, establish priorities to achieve company objectives and hold team members accountable for results;
  • Evaluate short- and long-term human resource needs and initiate strategies and actions to ensure that the team can deliver business results;
  • Build and enhance a scalable, robust infrastructure to support the current and future needs in Product Development and Merchandising, including systems, processes and talent.
