Passersby will do a double take when they spot this realistic fox stalking your yard. You'll smile when you see him guarding your chickens or watching over the garden. He's crafted from Fiberstone, a mixture of sand and stone that's reinforced with an ultra-strong fiberglass backing. Each sculpture is individually hand-finished in a yellow ochre color to resemble aged sandstone. The sculpture is lightweight, less fragile than concrete, safe for outdoor use in all weather conditions, and will not crack or chip in freezing temperatures.

He is so realistic. We are in a retirement resort in Ozarks and have red and grey fox. He fits right in...Our dogs went over to smell him and my sister asked if it was real when I sent her pictures of it in garden...love it

The life-sized fox statue arrived safe and sound after excellent tracking by Gardener's Supply. It is out in my back yard and continues to give me pause when I catch sight of it out of the corner of my eye! It's a nice addition, blending in perfectly with the landscaping and natural decor. I look forward to enjoying it for many years.

Fooled my dogs!
from on the coast
I admit I bought this in part because I wanted to play a joke on my dogs (it worked). But I chose it, too, because I like the overall shape. The size, body position, and general profile of this fox sculpture are quite realistic at a distance. At close quarters it is slightly rougher in finish than I would like, and the one I received has a strange discoloration on the back that almost looks like dripped paint or bird droppings. But with weathering I assume that will just blend in.You could almost use this to test temperaments in dogs. My sociable, bossy dog reacted to Faux Fox by making himself tall and sticking his tail up, approaching On tip-toe to sniff under the tail of the statue, then inside each ear, and then each eye. Then he shot me a look that said "Right, mate. Hilarious." And he peed next to the fox. Then I called my less sociable guy over. On seeing the fox my reactive dog puffed up like a cat, backed up, winding himself up with barking, and then charged the figure, muzzle punching it as he passed by. He figured out it was fake, and seemed embarrassed, so he gave me a powerful stink eye and peed ON the statue. Some dogs have a better sense of humor than others.
