Batch composting is the fastest and most efficient way to produce high quality compost, and this dual bin tumbler makes it easy. Fill one side with kitchen scraps and yard waste, then stop adding materials and let it "cook," turning it every few days to speed up the decomposition process. In the meantime, add new scraps to the other side. When the first batch of compost is finished, remove it and repeat the process, letting the other side cook.

I love this composter!

I have been using this composter for two years, and I love it! So easy to use, and a really nice feature that one side is cooking while you are adding to the other.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
If I had more space, I would buy another one

This was easy to assemble and easy to use. The only drawback is the sliding door which sticks midway and if too much pressure is exerted, it slides off. It is a minor drawback and the ease of use makes it easy to overlook
Just as advertised!

Ordered this composter to replace an older type that was hard to turn compost over. This one has been very easy to use for myself and my wife. I like having two different batches so that one can decompose and have the other one start working. I did use a hot compost mix to get it started also from Gardeners Supply and that really helps to turn compost into nice compost to use in our garden. I was a little worried about the holes in the composter but it hasn't affected it's working but I do have to add some liquid to keep things moist to keep the process working.
Second one I have purchased

In a very dry climate this is the only way we are able to compost. It works well if you follow directions and tend it every few days. The compost is wonderful.
I like it so far.

So Im not an experienced composter. But it is confusing to put together. We did get it together right eventually and it spins well for years now. The doors are a pain, they just don't slide in and out easily but I wrestle and hit them and they come in and out. The main issue is it doesn't make compost. But that could be my inexperience? Maybe Im doing the wrong mixture and don't water and turn it enough?? The compartments are indeed smaller, so you really do need it to finish a batch to use the soil and then keep being able to fill it. We have more scraps than this could ever hold and cook in time. But I don't hate it because it does spin and is sturdy and I admit it may be my mistake on why I never get compost out of it.
Good design to own.
