A Much Needed Product

Comments about Rodent Screen:
We have dealt with compost stacks within wire mesh frames for years with some success but last winter an unidentified critter tunneled in to our triple stack system and we didn't like that a bit. Also to dump our compost bucket with kitchen waste, we have to remove the top of that section including unfastening the clips which, being out in weather, become a trial to open. So many of our problems are solved and being in a suburban area, it's nice to have a neat structure. Yay!

1 month in and rodent free
from Chicago, IL
I am one month in with my pyramid composter and rodent screen. Rodent free, so far! Loving this combo of products!
I don't get it.

It's too small Like, way too small. I wish I had read other reviews before I bought it. I filled in the gaps with steel wool so hopefully that will work but I am dubious.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
No more rodents

About Me Master Gardener
Ok took off one star because it could be just a bit bigger. Took two of us and zip ties and about twenty minutes to get it to cover the entire bottom. It does cover the bottom and no more rodents.

Good, but could be better
from San Francisco Bay Area
Made of good heavy-duty material, but could be an inch or so larger. The screen was difficult to place so that there weren't any openings around it. When installing it, we would get one side in a good position, however the other side would be off. We did manage to get it centered. Hopefully, it is still in place under the compost, as we do have problems with rodents. Great concept, but please make it larger. I would recommend it, as the screen does go with the composter, but if I could make one or find another that fit better I would go with another one.

Glad someone thought about this before it was a problem

I was glad that the rodent screen was suggested as a companion piece to the composter. It was something that I might not have thought of on my own but recognized the need for such a screen. Easy to install with the composter. Just drop it in.
