Cast aluminum ends add a decorative flair and pair beautifully with the cedar sides. You choose the color of the fabric liner on the ends: purple, green or gray (all are included). The unique shape makes efficient use of space and planting mix — grow large plants in the deepest section, shallow-rooted crops along the edges. Waist-high, so it’s easier to plant, tend and harvest than in-ground gardens, with fewer weed and pest problems, too. A fitted liner helps hold soil in place.

Sturdy + attractive way to get a garden on your back porch!
By Shaun the Farmer
from Rochester, NY
While we have a little bit of a back yard, we have an abundance of chipmunks and squirrels and rabbits and deer and such, and attempts at traditional gardens end up like a scene from the Curse of the Were Rabbit. So we were excited to see the VegTrug as a way to get a small little garden away from our furry friends.Easy enough to assemble, though a couple of steps might be easiest with helping hands. They give you multiple colored pieces of felt for the backdrop of the tree, which is nice. But to change it you will need to remove all the wood planks which means pretty much taking it apart. It is ok so far, but after being outside for several years we may want to replace the felt to keep it looking nice, and that will be a pain then.It works great for getting a garden going - it is large enough to get a good mix of plants in there, and seems nice and sturdy. The VegTrug can be moved even with dirt + plants fairly easily with two people in case you need to shift things around some.Very happy with our purchase, and looking forward to harvest time!

Looks Great, but not so easy to put together.
from Moscow, ID
Received today in 2 big heavy boxes. Easy to see that this should be a snap to put together and it would be if the holes in the wood lined up to the holes in the metal frame. Was going to rate 3 stars due to this difficulty and poor workmanship, but decided in the end it still looks great and will hold fine regardless of the 3 missing screws that I could not place. With a great deal of effort I got the rest to work. Should have taken 15 minutes - took 90 for set-up. I think I'm going to like this once placed in my front yard.

Pretty easy to assemble. Using for vegetables and herbs. 3 options for interior color. Nice.
