What I do here: I am a coodinator in the marketing department

When I started at Gardener's Supply: 2002

My gardening style: I'd say I'm an intermediate gardener, I've been doing basic gardening (tomatoes, cucumbers, beans) for several years, trying to give myself one new challenge each year, such as potatoes or garlic, or trying different varieties of my favorite veggies. One year I grew red, orange, yellow and purple cherry tomatoes; it was way too many tomatoes for four people to eat, but it was my most colorful harvest ever.

Vegetables or flowers? Vegetables. I'm a small-space gardener, and as much as I love flowers I've got to use my space to its fullest potential. For me that's putting fresh, homegrown food on the table.

Best gardening tip I ever got: Dig a trench and plant your tomatoes with 5 to 6" of the stem sideways, below ground. This creates a much more robust and healthy root system.

What do you like about working at Gardener's Supply? I love the culture, the people, and the mission. It makes it easy to be proud of where you work.

Favorite free-time activities: I love reading, and knitting, cooking and baking. Pub quiz with friends, and spin class! I also enjoy giving back to my community by volunteering my time when I can.

What people probably don’t know about me: I've never seen a James Bond movie.
