Butcher block cedar sides and lifetime aluminum corners make our Elevated Rolling U-Garden handsome and durable; 16" semi-pneumatic wheels make it mobile on your deck or patio. Roll it into the sun, or out of the way to make room for guests. The planter box is 14" deep — plenty deep for your largest vegetable or flower plants. It accommodates three of our Tomato Cages with room to spare! The U-Garden Watering System helps provide plants with a steady supply of moisture, and means you'll need to water your plants less often. In our test gardens we watered 60% less often, compared to a U-Garden without the watering system. The 5-gallon reservoir helps plants get a steady supply of water through contact with the soil, as well as through evaporation. When it’s time to fill the reservoir, attach your garden hose and in just a few minutes the soaker hose fills the reservoir. The reservoir also captures and stores rainwater, while allowing excess water to drain. Install the watering system prior to planting your U-Garden. Includes a liner to keep soil contained while letting excess water drain.

Need to know how to fix factory assembled mistakes
from Marquette, MI
Comments about : Elevated Rolling U-Garden with Watering System:
Assembly started quickly and then came to an abrupt halt as I noticed a factory-assembled part was backward. The part was nailed together, not screwed, and therefore was tricky to take apart to assemble correctly. Total construction was 1 1/2 hours with having to correct the factory mistake.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Merchant response: We're so sorry that this reviewer had a poor experience assembling our Elevated Rolling U-Garden. We guarantee all of our products 100% and we've reached out to the customer to resolve the issue.

Moveable - but very heavy
from Stuart, VA
Planted flowers to brighten up area and can move to other areas as needed. Plan to plant bulbs in it in the winter to have a lot of spring color.
By Lots of Shade, Little Sun
Great idea to have a trug that could be moved to follow the sun. I paid a lot more for this feature alone. However, after a couple of weeks, when we pulled on the handle to move it, it started to come apart. It's also small compared to other trugs. Since we don't dare to move it I wish I had bought a larger, and cheaper, stationary trug. Now it's just a really expensive flower pot.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Had to reassemble because picture in instructions was not compatible. Instructions showed both handle and hose spout on one end.

If other companies can offer free, two day shipping,Why do you charge so much and have so much delay?

Beautiful Conversation Piece, Impractical as Planter
from Jacksonville, Florida
After one complete season I still haven't figured out how to use the cart. Required too much soil, 5 large bags of Miracle Grow to fill it up for flower planting last summer. Therefore too heavy to move. The soaker system doesn't work, practically. The soil remained soppy wet all summer from rain without the soaker hose. When rolling the cart the front legs tend to dig into your Achilles tendons. Be extra careful. Next spring I'm going to try to build a support system inside the cart on which to place potted flower plants. For all its faults as a practical planter, the cart is still an attractive piece of outdoor furniture.

We recommend using the lighter mix to make the self-watering action work and keep the planter light enough to move.

I love, love, love my garden! I planted it immediately and the plants are thriving. I wanted a rolling garden so I can control the amount of sun the plants receive...a very important thing for an Arizona gardener. I have received many compliments about the look and quality of the garden. I am so glad I got it!

Don't Waste Your Miney On The Self-Watering System
from Golden, CO
I bought three raised containers with a self-watering system for each. One system (the container held vegetables) flooded, wasting water each time (even after turned down to the lowest moisture level and watering schedule cut way back). One system did not provide adequate water for the annuals planted within, necessitating supplemental water throughout the summer. And the third system leaked like a sieve from the connection outside the container. Since it was filled with soil and vegetables, it was turned off and also needed hand watered. A call to customer service resulted in three new moisture meters, but the results remained the same (even when I moved the meter from the annual container to the one that flooded with each watering event). With this experience, I cannot recommend the self-watering systems. However, I do like the containers and hope they last a good long while!

Leaking self-watering system
Merchant response: We're sorry this customer had problems with over- and under-watering this planter. We've discussed the issues with the customer and believe it was a problem with the Timer and Moisture Sensor, not the Watering System in the Elevated Rolling U-Garden. We have paid for the return of the defective timer and sensor for a full refund of these items.
