Place this trivet under your compost crock or fruit bowl, and only you will know that it’s hard at work catching fruit flies — without taking up additional counter space. Simply mix and pour the lure into the trap. Fruit flies enter through a hole in the bottom and can’t escape. Dump and replace with fresh lure every two weeks. Includes three nontoxic lures; additional lures sold separately.

I like hoe this fruit fly trap sits inner my fruit bowl, so it does not take up extra counter top space. It is nice looking too.

Not fruit fly season yet, so I ddon't know if it works.
I used this product in a small plant room where I have a worm composting bin and it has taken care of all of the fruit flies. Very happy with my purchase.
Pretty and effective

I've tried many other systems and this one works and looks nice and no liquid lure to spill
Great way to end fruit fly problems

Although it's not fruit-fly season yet, I am truly looking forward to ending the seasonal invasion this year. The trivet is perfect for my compose pail.

Classy look for a fruit fly trap!
from Omaha, NE
What made this trap stand out to me is that it's something that doesn't stand out from the kitchen decor or clutter up space like a more traditional trap would. It's like it's camouflaged! I have it under a houseplant that tends to attract fruit flies, and it looks nice there. One thing that is both a plus and a minus is that because of the design, it's not possible to see whether flies have taken the bait. It's nice not to have to look at a bunch of fruit flies, but I kind of wish I could just to make sure that the trap is working.
Not so sure about this.

I used it just like the photo showed. It didn't attract very many fruit flies.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
This fits perfectly underneath my wire fruit bowl. Of course, by the time I ordered it the weather changed and it killed all the fruit flies! I can't comment on how effective it was for the flies, unfortunately. But it is a quality made product that I expect to function well next fruit fly season!
