Comments about Gardener's Revolution Honeycomb Tomato Planter Support Extension Gardeners Revolution Honeycomb Tomato Planter Support Extension:
Bought this to help support 1 tomato plant. Rod was ok, but the support rings are not strong enough. The "new and improved" clips were impossible to adhere. Unfortunately, I will be throwing this planter out.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

These did very little to help support my plants. They caused the planters to tilt and eventually fall over, damaging the plants.
Merchant response: Thank you for your feedback on your Gardeners Revolution Honeycomb Tomato Planter Support Extension. We are so sorry to hear that the planter tipped and your tomatoes were damaged! We've reached out to you by email to offer some tips and work with you to resolve this issue. When tall plants start to grow top-heavy fruit, they do need to be tied to an external support, like a railing or wall. We strongly recommend using the included ties to stabilize the planter and also suggest growing more compact plant varieties. If you have any questions or concerns, please give us a call at 1-800-876-5520.
Shorter than last years model - not an improvement
By Cisco's Girl
from Rapid City, SD
I bought this product in 2016 and each extension segment measured 22". These segments (as well as the ones shipped with the tomato revolution planter) measure 15". Same construction, compatible, but shorter. My tomatos grew just as tall as last year, but the product did not accommodate them the same. Disappointing
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Haven't used yet

My plants have not grown tall enough to use this yet, but it was easy to install and I have no doubt will be sturdy enough to support them.

These extensions are the perfect compliment to the honeycomb tomato planter. My plants are doing so well in the planters that they NEED these extensions!

Included paperwork has a link to a video, which helped, but I am still having trouble especially with the extensions (as opposed to the included portion with the planter, which were still hard for two people). However the basic design for the planter I still like.

The extension is necessary for almost any tomato you'll grow. Get one when you order the planter.
Definite must or growing tomatoes

Had trouble with the locking clamps for the rings, but they are being redesigned and will be sent as soon as available. A must if growing tomatoes. Thinking of trying for beans next.

This is an extension to the tomato planter. While the concept of the design is good, there is one definite flaw. The clips to secure the wire supports is unbelievably difficult to put in place; almost impossible. I am a senior citizen with an arthritic hand and while I could easily put together the planter, I gave up on the clips. I resorted to using green garden twist tie coated wire to secure the supports. Sorry, Gardner Supply, but you need to go back to the drawing board and get user friendly clips.
