My plants are much happier and growing with these lights
from New York City
I use this to overwinter annuals, start seeds in spring and for year round plants. I use mine on the expandable plastic stand Gardeners sells - the one that looks like storage shelves. I cram all the plants I can under the lights - there isn't that much space on the shelf. Since I have so many plants, I put them in hanging baskets and hook them into the plant stand. They do well too even though they aren't directly under the lights. I have not tried this but, since I live in a small space but love tending my "garden" in winter, I'm going to try attaching these lights to table legs so I can "store" container plants underneath until it's warm enough to put them outside again. Issues: I guess the downside would be that sometimes one of the lights will go out. I twist it around for a bit until it lights back up but that doesn't last for long. Mine are two years old so maybe they were a bad batch. I really can't afford to invest in Gardeners more expensive plant stands and, for their price, they don't look good in my apartment so I invested in the cheaper foldable plastic model. That works for me even though I have to move the lights around to make them work. They aren't the best made product but they work.
Love my 24" light garden. No problems with anything. Replacement bulbs are fine.
Only Place to Buy

It's difficult to find T5 gro-bulbs any place in stock except in 18". Gardener's Supplies is a place I know I can go to get them quickly and for a fair price.
Reliable product, and easy replacement.

Best source for the hard to find bulb for my compact grow light shelves. Quick service, safe packing and speedy shipping.
Perfect fit would buy again.

The only reason I had to order new lights was because the tubes broke when I moved to another state. I love these full-spectrum lights and have had great success growing healthy seedlings over several seasons. Right now I have three kinds of tomatoes, red peppers, watermelon, summer squash, and eggplant, as well as several flowers started. Best of all, none of these plants are the ubiquitous big box varieties, and, thanks to these lights, all are strong and healthy.

I have a three tier Sun Lite garden and use these for seed starting indoors. The low heat output means the plants can be quite close to the lights and not burn. Easier on the enviroment and energy bills than a lot of other light options.

Great for starting seeds and keeping house plants happy. Only complaint is that they start burning out well ahead of the 10,000 hour rating.
