The 8' Space-Maker Pivoting Trellis consists of two panels that you can adjust independently. In the vertical position, the trellis supports large plants like tomatoes. Pivot one or both panels out 45 degrees to support peas and cucumbers, extending your growing space without increasing the planter’s footprint. Also ideal for pole beans, small-fruited squash and flowering vines. The pivoting connectors fit securely into the corners of our 8' long Elevated Raised Beds, Elevated Cedar Planter Boxes and Cedar Raised Beds to create a fully integrated support system.

Comments about : Space-Maker Pivoting Trellis, 8':
I was very excited to add this trellis to my raised bed box, but less than a month after installing it, the middle, metal support rusted completely through and snapped, taking several of my cucumber plants with it. Gardener's send me a new metal support, and new hinges. I reinstalled everything, slapped a thick coat of rustoleum on the metal support and planted new cucumbers. A month later, I found the trellis dangling backward from the box. The side hinges are plastic, and had stripped from the weight of the trellis. There were two very sad sugar snap peas plants climbing on it and a cucumber vine with very few cucumbers, so I don't think it was the weight of the vegetables. The design of the trellis isn't bad, but the side hinges need to be metal rather than plastic. And add a better coat of paint to the metal support. Gardener's customer service was lovely to work with, but someone needs to go back to the drawing board on this one.

Working well for cucumbers
By Lynne trying to go organic
from Sussex, NJ
This is my first year growing cucumbers. I started off with an old tomato tower, but the rungs were too far apart when the plants were small. The trellis is working much better. I had my husband help me put it on the planter, because of the weight and size, although I am sure someone younger would probably be able to do it by themselves.I have not yet had a problem with the wind affecting it on the end of my second story deck, as some of the reviewers mentioned. Becaue it is at the end of the deck, I am not able to use the rotating feature. I was originally hoping to use just a 4 ft. section, but this wouldn't work on the 8 ft. planter. It is turning out to be a very nice privacy screen, however.

Space-Maker Pivotong Trellis

I have purchased a lot of products from Gardeners Supply this year and once again I am not dissappointed in the quality. I bought a grow light to start all my own plants and it worked great. My garden cart is a work horse. The 2' x 8' raised bed is so wonderful especially for a senior wanting more garden space without having to bend over and go down on your knees. Now I can grow my vine plants without creating a new area in my yard which would be hard to do. This trellis works off of the raised bed. Not only am I growing beets, carrots, and onion in the bed, early in the season due to the covers that I purchased and protecting the seedlings from the hungry birds, I now have started my peas and climbing cucumbers. This should be a great growing season for me.............Thanks Gardeners Supply

Easy to assemble and looks great attached to my raised planter
Just Right (:

I think the trellis will be a perfect place to grow vines in our new player box on a patio with limited garden space. It is set up but may not be planted and used until spring.(I have it tipped back against the south facing wall.)It will take a season of growing to see how effective it is, but I think this trellis and the planter box have good potential.
Not as sturdy as I expected
from Houston, TX
It was as pictured. But, the trellis doesn't fit snugly into the corner leg slots and seems fragile where the two panels meet in the middle. Doesn't seem strong enough to actually support a full size tomato plant. We will see.
Pretty well made. I would buy it again.

Best used on a patio next to a house or wall to get the reflected heat. The trellis has lots of surface area for plants to spread out and be secured on.
Great Trellis for Raised Beds
These are the perfect accessory to the 8' raised beds. couldn't be happier with the purchase!
great complement to my planter boxes
Easy, easy to install. Looks great with my raised beds. I put them in the up right position. I really like the look it gives my boxes. My only concern is in my area we receive a lot of wind, so far they are doing great... how will they do when more weight is on them and the wind.
