In the vertical position, the 4' Space-Maker Pivoting Trellis supports large plants like tomatoes. Pivot it out at any angle up to 45 degrees to support peas and cucumbers, extending your growing space without increasing the planter’s footprint. Also ideal for pole beans, small-fruited squash and flowering vines. The pivoting connectors fit securely into the corners of our 4' long Elevated Raised Beds, Elevated Cedar Planter Boxes and Cedar Raised Beds to create a fully integrated support system. Also fits the Rolling U-Garden and Elevated Rolling U-Garden. Please note: this 4' trellis (either singly or doubled) will not fit an 8' planter

Comments about : Space-Maker Pivoting Trellis, 4':
I stupidly ordered two of the 4-foot trellises after looking at picture in the catalog. The picture showed the trellis in a raised planter box that looked exactly like the ones we have. When we got the trellises we realized that our boxes are shorter than 4 feet so we can't use the trellises in them. We could just send them back but decided to keep them since they are sturdy and attractive. We will probably be able to find another use for them.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I added to the short end of my 4x8 raised bed. It fit very smoothly and I like that it's nice and strong. This year, it's vertical and preventing my tomatoes from falling over. Next year, I hope to use it at an angle to give support and more space for peas. The unit I originally received had a bent post. I sent email asking what to do. I thought they might say something like "go ahead and try hammering the plastic part onto the post, and if it breaks we'll do something". Instead, they promptly send a whole new unit that worked perfectly. Thanks. Experiences like this give me courage to buy more things from GS in the future.

My husband cut a square aluminum post that fit the feet so that he could attach it to the raised planter that he made.
I thought it was easy to assemble, just wish it was easier to move the trellis up and down.
