Dramatic angles and beautiful cedar butcher block combine to create a stunning planter that makes a welcome addition to any outdoor living space. A beautiful way to grow vegetables right at your doorstep! The planter fits in a compact space, and the integrated trellis provides an additional 12 square feet of vertical growing space -- perfect for cucumbers and peas, as well as flowering vines. Big 4" openings in the trellis make harvesting easy. The self-watering reservoir holds four gallons of water and keeps soil perfectly moist, so plants thrive and you water less often. A shelf provides handy storage for gardening supplies. Made from rot-resistant cedar and durable aluminum for many years of enjoyment.
To make the most of our precious forest resources, we use reclaimed pieces of high-quality North American cedar from lumber mill trimmings and give them new life in our butcher-block planters. Only the best reclaimed pieces are selected and glued together to form strong, solid panels, which are planed smooth to highlight the attractive variations in color and grain. The skilled craftsmen in our Vermont factory transform the panels into these uniquely beautiful planters.

Looks nice, hard to put together, leaking water

About Me Getting Started
Comments about : Self-Watering Apex Trellis Planter:
The planter was too difficult to put together for my skills. Handyman neighbor took over an hour to do it and there was some difficulty lining up the parts, as mentioned in another review. Once put together, I realized I didn't have the fabric strips -- either mistakenly thrown away or not delivered. Now that I have finally gotten it together, I can say that I really like the look of it. Lettuce is growing nicely. However, there seems to be a leak in the bottom. I put my watering can under it to catch the water drain and it filled up within a few hours. Have written customer service to see what can be done. Assuming when winter comes, I'll take out the soil and look to see where there is a crack or problem. When that is solved, I'm hoping I will really love it!

Perfect as a deck planter!
from Kingston MA
I really love The Apex Planter, it arrived in a timely manner and was easy to take out of the box and the directions were very detailed, which I LOVED. This took me about 45 minutes to put together by myself and it can easily be moved around (before filling with dirt). The height is really perfect and I will be transplanting some Kale into the planter with a couple of hoops/garden fabric for protection. I won't be able to utilize the climing trellis until spring, but have full intention of having spring peas climbing up! The planter is VERY sturdy, the wood is very nice and should weather beautifully. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this planter!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
