A longtime customer and staff favorite, this super-sturdy trug has thicker walls and even stronger handles than our regular Tubtrugs, and it stays flexible in temperatures as low as -76˚ F. Washable, bendable and nearly indestructible, it was designed for commercial fruit growers in Europe so you know it will stand up to heavy use. Handy for mixing soil, harvesting vegetables, carrying tools and supplies, collecting weeds and so much more.

Comments about : Heavy Duty Recycled Rubber Trug, 8.7 Gallon:
I bought this trug tub because all the other tubs I have are cheap plastic and the handles broke. They do me no good with broken handles. This tub is very sturdy and the handles are thick and durable. Only drawback is it's a bit heavy so I am not able to fill it and still be able to carry it. Someone needs to make a smaller size trug tub that has sturdy handles. I've been looking everywhere for one.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

It is indeed heavy duty but it is also just heavy. The additional weight is not ideal for me but I suspect it will last forever.

I have been using a Recycled Rubber Trug for years and it's still like new. My neighbor has always been envious of it so, when I saw them on sale, I ordered one for her. Unfortunately, in the intervening years, GSC has doubled or even tripled the thickness of the rubber. Making way too heavy and almost impossible to carry the two handles in one hand. She had to return it.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
It's very sturdy, not like those products that look similar and are thin. This will last for years with all types of gardening, planting, harvesting, yard work and can handle wetness without a problem. It's a good size for the home gardener.
Love how tough this trug is!

I've used some of the other plastic trugs and always have issues with the handles breaking. This trug is heavy duty and I can see it lasting a long time under heavy use.
I might buy this product again

Overall it's sturdy but smaller & heavier(it is quite heavy for its size),than other ones I've owned. Definitely better than the plastic ones most often sold.
If durability is a priority, get this

The handles on our colorful tub trugs kept breaking. The stronger members of my family have a habit of stuffing the trugs with high density material (wood chips, grit, rocks, etc.) and these heavy duty trugs can take that kind of abuse. They are heavier and they smell (at least at first) but they can take abuse.

Handy helpful sturdy. Makes gardening and other outside jobs a breeze. No more trying to lug around a bucket - this has a comfortable handle and carries quite a bit. The only thing I have to remember is not overload it so that I can't pick it up!

Perfect for accumulating composting scraps to bring to the compost pile.

This one will HOLD-UP
Luv the lighter-weight buckets, but the HANDLES broke on 3 of them in just ONE SEASON-! These handles are extra-heavy duty-!
