Trays were used to hold fresh greens and flowers. Others copper trays held crackers and cheese.

I bought this copper holder for plants in my windowsill. I have a couple of plants in a vase sitting in it.I have also used it to hold holiday figures and small Christmas boxes.Love the color and how well made it is.
Didn't fit my original purpose - but I love it anyway

I really wanted it as an indoor tray for a rectangular terra cotta planter that should have fit, but doesn't. It was so attractive and well-made that I kept it and I'm currently using it filled with Fall vegetables to decorate my dining table, along with a couple of copper candlesticks. I think it will also look wonderful filled with evergreens and berries for Christmas.

Love this look! I have copper and brass in our breakfast room and this fits right in. I am using it on a window sill to hold plants. It is sealed so the water doesn't leak onto the sill if I get too much in the pots. Thanks for a great look!
