I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He loves it. Able to plant lots of bulbs in a short amount of time, and proper depth.

great bulb planter
from paw paw mi
this tool worked well in my thick clay soil.the holes were the right depth for tulips and daffodils.I did have to clear out the soil after each use which slowed me down a little.
I would buy this product again for loose soil. Not great

For my clay soil
I would probably buy this product again.
The product works great in sandy loser soil, but not so good in clay soil or if the soil is very wet.
So much easier to use!

I was hesitant at first looking at this but what a difference it made getting bulbs into the ground quickly at a given depth! Definitely would recommend!
Practice makes perfect!

Had to do 100 holes 6 inches deep for tulips, was fine for the first dozen or so then got a little tedious cleaning out the dirt. Also, it seemed to bog down as I was drilling and almost overheating the drill. I tried a couple different ways and finally discovered that if I drilled just thru the grass plug, removed it and then finished the job it was much, much easier. Took me just over 2 1/2 hrs to do all 100 of them and that was with a 20 - 25 minute break at the halfway point.

Definitely saves strain on your wrists over using a manual bulb-planting tool.Plus helps get the job done faster.
Could be great but...

Great potential, but our drill did not have enough power. I think we need a heavy duty or professional model drill.
Planting bulbs is easy now
I planted 250 bulbs in just a few hours!
Awesome IF you have good soil
from Smyrna, TN
This did help me in certain spots in my yard but I live in Middle Tenn. and it's clay based. I did end up using a hand trowel. The drill just couldn't handle the density and the Bulb Bopper just isn't sharp enough.
