Pop Up Protectors trap insulating air inside and block cold winter winds, shielding shrubs and tender perennials from extreme cold and damaging temperature fluctuations. Ideal for compact evergreens, including arborvitae and dwarf Alberta spruce, as well as perennials like lavender that often suffer damage in cold weather. There are two sizes: Large and X-Large. They can be used on their own or stacked on top of each other, depending on the size of the plant you're trying to protect.
A removable mesh top provides ventilation, and it offers easy access so you can add leaves or mulch to add an extra measure of insulation against extreme cold. Rock pockets on the inside allow you to anchor the protectors in place, even if the ground is already frozen.

Like the taller design
from Waynesboro, PA
Comments about : Pop-Up Plant Protector, X-Large:
Until I see how it fares over the winter, I won't really know how to rate it. I like that it's taller than the other shrub covers I've used. I'm using them for a couple taller shrubs that I'd been using burlap stapled to stakes to protect. We've had some bitter cold, windy winters and that's hard on the growing things.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I use for small bushes to protect them from the deer in the winter.Must easier to use than deer fence around the house. And I can do it without my husband's help.Very durable, easy to put up and lots a ways to height downand attach to the ground so they do not blow away. Will need to see how they stand up to heavy snow.
Good protection for new plants
from central Pennsylvania
Used it for a newly planted Laurel bush. After a rainy growing season it was a challenge to get all the branches inside the protector. The use of bricks as anchors was easy and seems to be better on a windy north exposure.
At this point I would buy this product again.

It was easier to set up than any other rose protector we have used in the past. It should also last longer than the easily broken styrofoam products. Hopefully it will protect the roses as well. We will see what spring brings.

Purchase two large protectors. Perfect for my plants. Also, the ability to stack a small protector on a large one for taller plants is very clever.
Shipment was excellant - received in 2 days.

I ordered for covering roses that are getting to large for rose cones. They were so well designed and sturdy that we reordered more to cover so tender ornamental pine shrubs.

This was a simple shrub to install. It appear that it will offer very good plant protection for my area which often goes to -20 in the winter. One of the initial covers arrived missing two parts but the customer service immediately shipped a replacement. Good customer serviced says volumes about a good company. I'm very pleased.

I have a small barberry bush. This is a great way to protect him as he sits off alone in the yard
