Pop Up Protectors trap insulating air inside and block cold winter winds, shielding shrubs and tender perennials from extreme cold and damaging temperature fluctuations. Ideal for compact evergreens, including arborvitae and dwarf Alberta spruce, as well as perennials like lavender that often suffer damage in cold weather. There are two sizes: Large and X-Large. They can be used on their own or stacked on top of each other, depending on the size of the plant you're trying to protect.
A removable mesh top provides ventilation, and it offers easy access so you can add leaves or mulch to add an extra measure of insulation against extreme cold. Rock pockets on the inside allow you to anchor the protectors in place, even if the ground is already frozen.

Comments about : Pop-Up Plant Protector, X-Large:
I ordered for covering roses that are getting to large for rose cones. They were so well designed and sturdy that we reordered more to cover so tender ornamental pine shrubs.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

East shrub cover.

This was a simple shrub to install. It appear that it will offer very good plant protection for my area which often goes to -20 in the winter. One of the initial covers arrived missing two parts but the customer service immediately shipped a replacement. Good customer serviced says volumes about a good company. I'm very pleased.

I have a small barberry bush. This is a great way to protect him as he sits off alone in the yard

Great shrub protector

I plan to use this on my crepe myrtle for winter. It was very easy to put up and seems very sturdy. I used the large one and the small together to cover the shrub. The toggle ties were easy to hook up and they are holding well. I used some metal anchors to secure the bottom through the ties into the ground and the whole protector has not blown in the wind yet. Barring another ice storm like last year it should hold. Won't know about how the shrub survives our winters until spring. Will let you know.

I bought 3 of these pop up plant tents and i was so amazed on how great they will protect my young trees this winter from wind and snow and deer! I secured them with staples and that anchored them firmly. I went ahead and ordered 8 more for the rest of my trees.

Love the product .... Hate the shipment packaging. Hazard.
from Cuba, New York
While I love this product for protecting my bushes, I absolutely hate the way it is packaged. Yes, there is a note to warn you that the protector will 'pop' open. 'Pop' is not an accurate word for how forcibly this opens up. And now I see that the two new items that I ordered (had one from last year) come in even smaller packaging which, as you start to open it, allows the item to be wrapped tighter and therefore nearly take your eye or other body part off when opening it. My very strong suggestion is to get the manufacturer to develop different packaging before someone really gets hurt.
I am pleased with this purchase

Some plants which, normally, would not surive the winter, can make it through very well when these covers are used. I am attempting to save 2 plants this year, which may or may not be winter-hardy enough to make it. We shall see. I am optimistic, because I have covered a rosemary plant for three years with one of these covers, and it has always been well protected and very healthy in the Spring. Loops at the bottom corners for staking. These also have pockets for rocks to weigh it down, which I feel is a great added feature.
