At 29" high, this attractive cedar planter is the perfect height for easy growing, eliminating the need to stoop, bend, kneel and reach. It's a generous 10" deep so you can grow big plants like tomatoes and root crops like carrots. With 16 square feet of growing space, there's plenty of room for multiple crops, yielding a generous harvest. Set up one or more of these rectangular beds around the edge of your patio to create a convenient kitchen garden, or fill them with flowers for a stunning display. Like our other cedar raised beds, the sides are held in place with our sleek and sturdy aluminum corners. There's a false floor made of cedar slats, set 10" down from the top so there's plenty of root space for vegetables and flowers. Excess water drains through slats; vents in the sides allow air to circulate and excess moisture to evaporate.

Comments about : 2' x 8' Elevated Cedar Planter Box:
i was stuck down by illness and had to watch my neighbor put this together - and she was awesome - the directions were clear enough for her to do it on her on - very little help from me -holding a board towards the end - in an hour - i got to load up the dirt and already have tiny little carrots, beets, lemon basil, and the bok choy goin' wild!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great Quality, Easy to Build
By Joan B
from Richmond, Va
I am so excited for the next growing season! I ordered two cedar planter boxes, and have them on my deck. They took my husband no time to put together, and they are sturdy and appear to be very high quality. I now think that I will need to buy the trellis support so I can grow some sugar snap peas and pole beans!

I bought one box to start, sure it took a little work to assemble, but all the holes fit and the instructions were easy to follow. It looks beautiful so I'm ordering a second one.
Wonderful planter for our deck
from Sherborn, MA
I bought this planter about two years ago. Grew herbs, peppers and eggplant. Wonderful! So I bought another one!We moved from Virginia to New England a few years ago. Rocks, rocks, rocks! I love having these planters in the deck. We also have groundhogs, bunnies, deer and all kinds of other critters so growing in the deck is better! The planter comes well packed and is very easy to assemble. I stained the outside to match our deck.
Above ground raised bed comments
By Old Grinch

This is the 2nd above ground planter I ordered. Assembly on the first wasn't too difficult, a recently blown out knee complicated things a little and you definitely need to read the instructions. It was starting to get late in the season so we planted cold friendly flowers and vegetables like kale, swiss chard and pansies. Since it was located out on the grass the weight from wet dirt eventually caused the legs to start sinking into the ground at an angle. I was able to use a floor jack to raise the bed high enough to put blocks under all the legs. After it stayed below freezing the better part of 2 weeks the bed pretty much froze solid so that was it for the year.We are planning to put in new plants once it warms up a little and are looking forward to getting the 2nd bed ready for spring.
Worth every penny and more! I wish I had bought one sooner
from England, formerly PA, USA
This was worth the money. It did two things for us, allowed us to place a garden where it would get most sun to get plants going early in our PA climate, and, was raised which allowed me to work at it more frequently- I can easily go out to end of driveway to fiddle with the plants, feedings, etc., even before I head off to work rather than having to be dressed to work in my garden- like with growing in raised beds in ground. Perfect for a garden lover who works and commutes. The amount of vegetable and herbs that were produced was amazing and both starter plants and seed plantings were successful. I kept perennial herbs and replanted the rest adding soil conditioner at the beginning of growing season. When we had to move internationally and could not take this with us :(, our neighbors vied for the planter! They had seen the planter in our driveway and how successfully the plants grew and lined up to take it "off our hands" Now it grows even more plants down the street. This will be our number one purchase when we come back to US in a few years.
