An essential part of summer border plants, phlox is a perennial favorite for lovely landscapes and gardens. Add brilliant color and vertical attention to your summer garden. Spectacular in the cutting garden or as a backdrop. Deer resistant, fragrant, bee friendly and wonderful in cut flower bouquets. Select a spot in the garden that receives full sun to light shade where the soil drains well. Loosen the soil, and plant the bulbs, pointy end up, approximately 8" deep and 5-6" apart. Tamp down the soil and water well after planting. Foliage should be left to die back naturally as it provides the nutrients the bulb will need to grow and flower the following year.
