Comments about Organic Tomato Starts:
When I received these plants I was a little skeptical because one of them did not seem strong. However, planting them in the Gardener's Supply planter with the new soil from them I was able to purchase, was amazing. They are thriving and growing beautifully. Looking forward to our tomatoes.

Tons of flowers and so lush!
from Napoleon, OH
It's hard to believe how thick and lush these tomato starts have gotten. I got two of the Bush 506s and one Sweet Aperitif and they looked a little sad when they arrived. I put them in the success kit (the Bush 506s) and the growing bag (the Sweet Aperitif) and they perked right up. The Bush 506s are very full and lush with lots of flowers - can't wait to see them turn into fruit. The Sweet Aperitif is growing like crazy and is now about three feet tall with multiple flowers.

I received this plant and it was already dead. I had to go to the store to buy another one. I sent an email to customer service and never received a response. Very unhappy with this purchase.

Both are dead.

One came with no leaves the other had out grown its container and was all curled up , neither survived. I've never had issues with any other item I've ordered from you.

I ordered 5 tomato starts from Gardener's Supply this year, which I normally wouldn't do. I generally buy them locally, so I can see what I'm getting. The description peaked my curiosity, so I took a chance and sent for them. I was beginning to think there was a problem because they took quite a while to arrive, so I checked with customer service. They told me they were to be shipped according to zone, and I should get them soon.Long story short, I finally got them, in good shape, and planted the same day. They're healthy and thriving. I gave 4 stars because they haven't produced yet, but I'm anticipating a good harvest....and the other reason is because I think they should have arrived sooner than they did. All in all, I'm pleased. Gardener's Supply is a company I'll continue to use for many of my gardening needs.
Waste of time and money!

This LITTLE start arrived late and very small for being so late in the growing season. I followed the directions included with it, but it just never took off. It was too weak from the start and I could not save it.
No longer a good deal
from Aurora, IL
I bought these plants along with the tomato growing system about five years ago. The first three years, the tomato plants did great and produced a wonderful crop. Now, this is the second year in a row that the tomato starts died within a week of receiving/planting. When they arrived they were already wilted. Although they were planted within 2 days of receipt and the instructions were followed, the result was not good. I will not try them again
Merchant response: We are sorry to hear that your plants arrived in poor condition. We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee on all of our products, and have refunded you the cost of the plants. We apologize for the inconvenience.
