This self-watering herb planter is the easiest way to grow potted herbs. There's no need to repot plants: Simply push the wick irrigation system into the drainage hole in the base of the grow pot and then place the pot directly into the planter. Fill the reservoir and the wick will draw water up into the soil as the plant needs it, keeping it healthy and flourishing.

Purchased 2 of the white. Planted rosemary in them and placed in kitchen window. Plants are doing great and planters are attractive. I would highly recommend.

This planter is great. Once I figured out how it worked, I loved it. Really nice for herbs and any plant that needs moisture. Easy to take with when we're rv'ing.

About Me Avid Gardener
I use this to grow herbs. I just add water when the gauge shows it's needed and my plants are thriving. The cube was easy to put together. I plan on purchasing more of these cubes soon.
I plan on getting more of these.
I use this to grow herbs. It was easy to assemble and the moisture gauge takes the guess work out of watering. My herbs are thriving.
I like it!
About Me Getting Started
I bought one out of curiosity for 4-inch herb pots I got at Trader Joe's. I liked the idea that it would self-water and avoid the problems of drying out, leakage, or overflow around my kitchen window area. The first step of the instructions was confusing at first, but when I followed the steps one by one (think Ikea directions) it did not take long to figure out. Only problem was we had to drill a bigger hole in the bottom of the pot to accommodate the wick. It now works great and I love that it's so easy to keep the soil moist without making a mess. Classic German engineering - a neat little design and attractive too. I'm going to buy more.

Very nice, Would put it out in my home, but have it out on the balcony with all my plants. Indicator to see how much water is in the well.

We love cooking with fresh herbs, and the amazing aroma they provide to our kitchen area. So when we read the review that store bought (organic for us!) herbs, would have a longer shelf life on window sill, with these self watered containers; we just had to buy them! And, we sure did commit - we bought 4 of them!! Agree with other reviewers, that the directions were difficult to understand, the design is not intuitive, and several times when the herbs died -- some from too much water, despite design claims -- we had to remember to pull out the wick from the bottom of the thrown out herb plants, essential to the design! In the end, we retired these containers, empty, to our Gardener's bench "grave-site" section! What a shame, because they're pricey, but not worthy of our efforts or our herb plants!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

What a disappointmnet!

So, I had to buy another pot to put into this expensive outer pot! Well, since the pot I had to purchase also happened to be tapered, I then had to modify the bottom so that it didn't fall thru rather than sit IN the outer pot., another expense. Then the water level indicator didn't fit. I would have returned them except the cost of returning them was just another wasted expense. Truly an unwelcome disappointing experience.
