To make this stunning rug, artisans take strips of felted wool and wrap them in tight spirals that resemble individual flowers. Then they join them together to resemble a carpet of blooms. The name Millefleur is a combination of two French words that translate to "thousand flowers." The term is used to describe patterns or backgrounds consisting of many tiny flowers or plants. Rug is for indoor use only. Made in India in a fair trade-certified factory.

Comments about : Millefleur Felted Wool Rug:
This unusual rug is more beautiful and unique than the photo is able to show. Too thick to be by a door, it is best as a happy accent piece. It fits in three areas of our home; I will buy another!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

About Me Practical, Stylish
When I selected this rug I intended to hang it on my living room wall. It has great texture and visual interest. When it arrived I realized that in order to hang it I would need to stabilize it somehow. It is quite heavy and rather "droopy" to be hung. So I attached it to some canvas and my husband built a frame for hanging. I love it! The colors in mine are much darker than the one in the catalog so be aware that each rug is different. I receive lots of complements on it.
