The long, narrow blades of these garden snips make quick work of harvesting leaf lettuce, mesclun and herbs. Handy for deadheading flowers, too. The 2-1/2" long blades are made from high-carbon steel so they hold their edge for clean cuts. Handles are aluminum alloy with thermoplastic rubber for a comfortable, non-slip grip. Blades may be resharpened. Locking closure.

Product works great. I love them!
Unuseable due to absurd screw
These snips come with a very cheap, soft screw that holds them in a plastic shipping holster. Perhaps the holster has some further use, but after a half hour of using every imaginable tool, I can't get the snips off the remains of the holster (I decided to break the plastic holster to facilitate the screw removal). It's a simple problem for Gardener's Supply to fix. The screw is far too tight and far too soft---it strips immediately.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Poorly made the latch that keeps the snips closed broke off

I have a flowering container business and spend many hours with a snip deadheading and pruning. These are not good. They are too heavy and the locking mechanism is poorly designed, getting stuck open or closed. No one in my crew likes them. I will not purchase again.

Easy to use, nice sharp long pointed snips. My roses look great.

As listed, the screw that holds the scissors in the holster is now very difficult to get loose. Not the case in the past. The scissors are worth the effort, but the most recent I bought cannot be loosened at all.
