Fall leaves contain loads of plant nutrients, but left in a big pile the leaves break down slowly and take up lots of room. Our leaf mulcher shreds the leaves into small pieces that decompose quickly, releasing the nutrients — perfect for mulching perennial beds, adding organic matter to your vegetable garden or tossing on the compost pile. The shredder dramatically reduces the volume of leaves, converting up to 16 bags of leaves into one bag of shredded leaves.
An advanced motor cooling system diverts air from the shredded leaves, significantly reducing the amount of dust generated during use. The unit stores compactly; simply remove the legs and nest the motor inside the hopper. Made by Sun Joe®, known for their affordable, high-quality outdoor tools that simplify yard maintenance.

Does the job
By Leaf the composter
from Stuart, Florida
Comments about : Leaf Shredder, 13 Amp:
I bought this shredder to process Live oak and Basil oak leaves for my compost. These leaves are relatively small. I wish the shredder did a better job at shredding them smaller, but it's good enough. I'd imagine with larger leaves it's great.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is great quality, especially for the price. Made quick work of leaves and fairly quick work of some hay -- all of which will be added to our Gardeners Supply composter. Thank you!
Should have purchased sooner
This worked great in mulching leaves and small sticks. I have wonderful mulch that I spread around the garden. No issues with this product at all. I do not know why I waited so long to buy. Makes raking leaves less cumbersome and useful all at the same time. Great product!
good for just leaves

No customer support

Used my shedder four times - 2 bags each time. It stopped working, I contacted the company and was told to register the product. I had, online and with the postcard. Representative blew me off and terminated my case after 4 days. No response when I asked for my case to be reopened.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Great for the ladies. Light weight and easy to use.

I have owned this piece of equipment in the past. It was used so much I burned the motor up after years of use. Just need another one to get the job done.

Great time and labor saver! Easy to use.

This machine has really decreased the amount of time and labor on getting up fall leaves on a half acre of land. I can use the shredded material for compost, or take it to the recycling center. I don't know how I missed this in the catalogue for many years...

So glad I made this purchase!
I love this shredder. I don't use a bag to catch the leaves, I just move it where I want to shred and use the leaves for mulch or compost. I'm a small woman and it's very lightweight and easy to move. I read other reviews about the adjustable legs not staying put, but I haven't had that issue at all. It shreds very finely on the highest setting, which is great for mulching. The directions say to wear a dust mask, and I highly recommend that. Large sticks can get stuck, and have to be removed, but it doesn't stop it from running. Sticks will also wear down your cutting line, but it's easy to replace. This purchase was well worth the money.
