Roll this convenient salad growing cart outdoors to your porch or patio for a season's worth of salad greens and herbs. When autumn arrives, roll it back indoors for your winter garden. The cart includes a mobile metal trolley and plastic planting tray. Spread the expanded clay pebbles over the bottom and add the capillary mat (both included). This creates a reservoir and water delivery system to help ensure plants get the moisture they need while reducing watering chores. A handy shelf holds accessories. Holes in the sides of the planting tray provide drainage when used outdoors. When used indoors, take care not to overfill the reservoir to prevent leakage.

Comments about : Mobile Salad Garden:
We live in Palm Desert, CA during the winter. I'm growing lettuce and a few herbs in this cart. I love that I can move it into the sun and when it's too hot, AWAY from the sun. So far, it's working out well. However, it dries out pretty quickly when it's in hot sun. I try to roll it under the awning about 1 pm to keep the lettuce from wilting. I don't know if a deeper bin would help or not.

PERFECT CART FOR ZERO MOBILITY AUTISTIC ADULTS
from West Milford, New Jersey
We use ours for Mentally disabled adults in a day program setting. A few clients have zero mobility and are able to participate in gardening. We wheel the cart inside for watering etc. and then push outside for fresh sunshine. BEST CART EVER!

Not worth the sticker price
from Chicago, IL
I was so excited to get this cart for all of my herbs and growing some lettuce. Upon arrival I realized how cheaply made the product is and the materials are not of high quality. I was unable to construct the cart upon opening as the casters and other hardware was missing (packaging issue, not quality issue). When the hardware arrived, I put the cart together and when I went to add the wire shelf to the bottom we found that one of the four pegs was broken off so it could not be put together to sit in the bottom of the cart. The tray is simple plastic, the legs are not painted with a durable material. It has chipped and paint has been scraped off during assembly with only slight pressure against the ground. The shelf is also of very poor quality to have the support peg just completely break off on first use. I would expect this product to be $40 or $50 at most. If you want a similar item, I say save your money and find it elsewhere. You will not be paying more money for quality with this item.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Love our portable salad garden!

It is still around 40 degrees at night, but we can roll our salad garden from the kitchen to the deck every day. It started producing quantities of lettuce within 10 days and we know it is organic and very fresh, therefore totally delicious. Even grandsons pluck leaves out of eat an pop them in their mouths with big smiles! One of our best purchases ever!

Great little cart that I will use inside in the winter to start seedlings and outside as a deck based, elbow-height, lettuce garden patch. The lower deck had one bent support and when I tried to straighten it, it snapped, so I will have to find a way to fix that. If they came with cardboard corners like a framed photograph, this would not have happened

Bought this for my boyfriend who loves to eat salad. Now he can have salad all the time (always fresh lettuces available just in our house). Love that it continuously waters, never has a hard crust of soil on the surface!

I planted an herb garden in the cart because there are many stray cats in my neighborhood. This allows me to keep my herb garden from bring used by the cats as their litter box.I use the lower shelf for my seedlings.
