A bit dissappointed : (
Comments about : Harvest Berry Gathering Basket:
Kind of disappointed upon arrival, this isn't as heavy duty as I felt it would be. The picture of it on-line has several jarred goods in the basket. I would never feel safe carrying anything too heavy in it. It is well constructed, but too light weight for what it's intended use is in the descrpition. Now I plan on using it in different ways, transporting lightweight items to picnics, parties & events. We will see what transpires.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

These are well made baskets that will do nicely to carry boxes of blueberries or strawberries. Almost too nice to take into the field.

I bought this exact basket from another vendor (tv retailer), where it is no longer carried. I'm thrilled to find Peterboro at my favorite garden supply web site. I use this basket constantly; taking food to potlucks, holding magazines, fruit, yarn, carrying picnic supplies from the kitchen to the deck, holding party favors, passing out Halloween candy . . . it never really gets put away! And to clean (not recommended by maker, but it has worked for me), I take all my baskets outdoors on a warm, sunny day, hose them off and leave in the sun to dry. I've never had a problem with shrinking, warping, etc. Comes out clean and beautiful.
