Our Vermont-made SunLite® Gardens give your plants the quality and intensity of light they need. You can start plants from seed, grow herbs, houseplants, or even try your hand at growing orchids. Our ultra-light fixtures weigh just 6 lbs. and have a slim profile to give plants more headroom. They measure a full 14" wide to ensure even light coverage across each shelf. Inside, there are two T-5 fluorescent bulbs that produce bright, full-spectrum light. These bulbs provide up to 10,000 hours of use. All fixtures have their own pull chains for easy height adjustments and electronic ballasts to eliminate any annoying buzzing. This complete SunLite Garden includes frame and fixtures, T-5 fluorescent bulbs, watertight trays and casters.

Comments about : 2-Tier SunLite® Garden:
This seems sturdy. The lights are very bright and I think the plants get much more light than my traditional tabletop 4' grow light system ( not Gardner's brand). My other system is a single light - so it only has a small range of light output. I had to buy two of those to expand the light area. Two things to note...1. The bottom shelf is too low. I wish they has raised up the shelf. 2. This does not coordinate with standard size seed starting trays. Again, not Gardner's brand. For example, Jiffy seed trays that hold 72 cells. So if you use those trays, you can fit 2 to a shelf with room for extra 2" pots. Ideally this 2 tier set would have wider trays to coordinate with standard seed starting cells. Now that I have this system, I wonder if I should have chosen the stack and grow system. Seeing how this is nicely laid out, I wish I could have afforded the 3 tier system for added room. Or gone with the stack and grow so that as I had more money, I could have added more room. Hope that makes sense! I liked that this has waterproof trays so there's no risk of water spilling on the lights below it. This is light weight and easily moved with the wheels.

After assembled, the product is terrific for starting seeds indoors. It rolls nicely on the casters, and it's very easy to adjust the heights of the lights. My main complaint is that the directions were inadequate. The instructions aren't clear about which is the top and bottom of the first vertical pieces to assemble. Usually assembly drawings are very helpful, but in this case, they provided fewer visible ques than the text. Also, the two outside panels could have been assembled in the shop -- they would fit into the same size box -- then all customers would have to do is assemble the cross pieces and the light fixtures.

I already had one of the 3 tiered units and loved it but needed more growing space so got the 2 tiered. They have improved the light chains for raising and lowering the grow lights (used to slip) so it is even better now. After having both ..I prefer the 3 tier and have gotten yet another one ! They are great for starting seedlings for the garden...love them.

I have purchased two of the 3 tier sun lites and now this 2 tier. It has all the same wonderful features as the 3 tier but seems a bit too low for me. Functionality is just as good though so.. .the height is a personal preference and does not affect the greatness as a plant starter..
