At 29" high, this attractive cedar planter is the perfect height for easy growing, eliminating the need to stoop, bend, kneel and reach. It's a generous 10" deep so you can grow big plants like tomatoes and root crops like carrots. With 8 square feet of growing space, there's plenty of room for multiple crops, yielding a generous harvest. Set up one or more of these rectangular beds around the edge of your patio to create a convenient kitchen garden, or fill them with flowers for a stunning display. Like our other cedar raised beds, the sides are held in place with our sleek and sturdy aluminum corners. There's a false floor made of cedar slats, set 10" down from the top so there's plenty of root space for vegetables and flowers. Any excess water drains through the floor slats..

Comments about : 2' x 4' Elevated Cedar Planter Box:
I bought this as a gift for a gardening couple, They were impressed with the solidness of construction and the ease of assembly. More, they loved the look of this raised bed and have rethought where they are going to put it, to show it off.

This planter will replace a falling apart 4X4 on the ground raised planter. It looks great, was easy to assemble and I am sure it is going to be able to keep my nine pound terrier mix from digging in my veggies. So happy I bought it.

From costumer service on the phone to actually using this bed my experience has been amazing.Without a doubt i would order this again and for that fact anything on this website in an instant. The quality of the wood is good quality, hand made and not mass produced, and built to last. The set up is absolutely so simple anyone can do it.

A little hard to put together. Definitely a two person job. Wheels should come with but do t. I ordered separate now waiting before I put dirt into box.

Looks nice, sturdy, but assembly problems
from Apache Junction, AZ
Haven't used it yet as I just received the soil I ordered from Gardners. Assembly was a challenge for 2 reasons. 1st, the the instructions were not easy to understand especially in trying to figure out where the bottom support straps were to be placed. 2ndly, since the unit has no pre-drilled holes, sections did not align easily and we had to try to jerry-rig to assemble. That part was took some time. We think we got it together ok, but not sure if we could recommend it to someone who is expecting a somewhat easy assembly.

Wonderful starter grow box
from Vero Beach, Florida
I'm so excited to have received my standing planter. I am putting it together at this moment. The instructions are easy to follow and everything is in order. The cedar oil must be applied in a well ventilated area. Even though I like the smell of the cedar oil, it is very strong in an enclosed space.I had very nice dealings with the Gardner's Supply employees on the phone and I'm delighted to know that this planter box was constructed in Vermont. I can't wait to get growing.
Absolutly the BEST

Waiting for my son to assemble it. Too big of a job for me.
Beuatiful and sturdy
This beautiful piece is worth every penny. The materials are quality and it went together pretty easily. My 16 year old grandson assembled mine. I just set it up and put in the soil, really looking forward to spring planting! I may buy another.
