Fruit flies cry fowl! While this folk art chicken roosts on your countertop, the lure inside is secretly enticing fruit flies to enter through the hole in the bottom, never to return to their annoying ways. This charming chicken is ready to perch near your fruit bowl or compost crock. Only you will know it's hard at work! Eco-friendly — no plastic traps to throw away. Over 6" high! Includes 3 lures.

Did not work
from Adirondack, NY
We placed this product near the plants that had fruit flies on them. The flies were not attracted to the lures. This chicken, although pretty, did nothing to decrease the number of fruit flies in our home.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I have not yet used the fruit fly lures in my chick, but just really like the added decor in my kitchen. Very cute!

It's much larger than I thought it was going to be but it is sooo cute it's sitting on my counter now even though I currently don't have any fruit flies. Love it!
as fun as it looks in the catalogue

I haven't needed to use this yet as winter is cold enough to keep the flying insects at bay but it is cute to look at until summer-time. It's bigger than I thought it would be but can't wait to start catching those annoying gnats when produce season kicks in.
This was a Christmas gift for my wife. The chicken fruit fly trap is as described. It is quality construction and looks as good in person as in the picture. It's functionality once loaded with lures will be tested once the weather warms up and we start bringing in fresh grown produce.

A clever & cute way to keep those pesky fruit flies from being a kitchen nuisance.

Cute and usable. Fits our roster theme for storing and summer.
Very attractive, just as a decoration.

Put some red wine in it, rather than the fruit fly lures.
