Just one day of hot summer sun can affect the lush, sweet flavor of homegrown lettuce, making it bitter; a few days of hot sun will make lettuce bolt to seed, ruining it for the season. These UV-stabilized polyethylene shade nets cut summer sun by 50%, while allowing cool air to circulate freely. Use with hoops and clothespins, sold separately.

Great for hot summer
Stopped tomatoes from wilting when temp got over 100
Works like a charm!
I used this to cover my cucumber trellis while the cucumber plants are very small. I grew salad greens under the trellis. They popped right up and are growing great in the hot summer sun.

I am ordering this for the South-central Texas heat 90+.
By the tomato Lady
from Marlin, TX
At 76, I large scale garden to provide fresh produce for the Chilton, TX Food Pantry. This will increase production for these deserving and needy people. For the lady who wished it came in wider sizes, I am just going to sew them together to achieve that. A few PVC hoops will fit into Galvanized brackets on sides of the raised beds. I can't wait to get them! Thanks for the encouraging comments!

Great item for Hydrangeas
from Southlake TX
I had to cover some hydrangeas because the Texas sun was burning them. Some summers they do better than others and I don't want to move them. I draped this loosely over some stakes during the hottest part of the month and they are thriving now that the weather is cooler.
