Distinctive tall trough planter brings unique style to your patio, deck, balcony or poolside. Aluminum trim with a faux wood finish gives this ultra-durable, galvanized planter a modern edge. The patented watering system uses capillary tubes to deliver water from the built-in reservoir to keep plant roots consistently moist. Sturdy, smooth-rolling casters let you reposition it with ease. This versatile planter is great for dramatic plantings of vegetables and herbs, and is ideal for adorning a perimeter or creating a tall screen.

Easy to assemble, looks great and the self watering is unbeatable! My winter veggie's new home!
Love the planters!
from Minneapolis, MN
I bought the planters to put artificial plants in on my patio, so I can't speak to the self watering part. But they look fabulous and are solidly built. I have had many compliments from the neighbors!

Nice Planter with a few issues
First let me say that once assembled, it looks exactly like the photos on the website. Now, assembly is another matter. The pieces that join the sides to the front back didn't want to "slide in easily" as directions say, it took a bit of force to start them. Be sure to have a rubber mallet or hammer and board at hand. The screw holes for the top surround didn't line up with the corresponding holes on the frame, until I laid a 2X4 on top and pounded things into place. The water trays look like the top and bottom should fit together, but in assembly it is impossible to get them perfectly aligned. Since they hold water, and are at the bottom of the planer it isn't a big deal, just the company should have made the bottom 1/2 about 2 mm larger. Overall, it is what I expected for the price paid. I would recommend it, with assembly reservations. If one is not comfortable using tools and hammering on new items, this may not be the planter for you.
I would not recommend this product or this company!

There is no such thing as 100% satisfaction with this company. You do not care about about customer issues and concerns nor do you help to resolve them and that's at best "very poor customer service" and I will not be a customer any longer. First time shopping with Gardner's Supply Company and my last!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Aethestic is great. However difficult to assemble. Holes did not align btweeen the top trim and planter. Had to drill holes in order to insert screws. Had no issue with the tall planters that I purchased at the same time. Need to improve quality checks.

IT looks great. Love the self watering. Easy to put together. Haven't had long enough to see how it holds up to the weather, but seems like it will for a long time.
Horrible crumbling styrofoam packing. Couldn't assemble it.
from Mahwah, NJ
First, this item came packed in styrofoam that was crumbling into little bits. As soon as we opened the box the little white pieces went everywhere and clung via static to all sorts of things, including our cat. So before even attempting to address the planter we had to get the bits off the carpet and furniture (and the cat)! While my hubby and I have assembled all kinds of things in the past, we were unable to put this thing together. It seemed like the metal strips which were supposed to couple together the walls of the planter box just didn't fit. We tried several approaches for about an hour before giving up. Spent 45 minutes repacking the box and cleaning up all of the styrofoam bits and sent it back.

It is used as a feature on our entry porch.
