SelfEco Pots are earth-friendly like biodegradable fiber pots, but they're much sturdier so they won't turn to mush when you're growing seedlings indoors. At transplanting time, just peel the tabs off the sides of the pots and then plant them, pots and all. Roots aren't disturbed, eliminating transplant shock. Best of all, the pots feed plants as they decompose! The pots are made from PLA, which resembles plastic but is derived from starchy, renewable plants, such as corn, switch grass and sugar beets, plus nutrient-rich distillers' grains. SelfEco Pots also eliminate the hassle of storing plastic pots or the waste of hauling them off to the landfill.

Haven't started my plants yet, but I'm thrilled the pots are biodegradeable. No need to transplant seedlings.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I am hoping these pots will do what they say in decomposing and fertilizing. I bought two sets to use for my tomatoes. We will see. I gave four stars for the idea.
