Collecting kitchen scraps for composting shouldn't detract from your kitchen decor. This ceramic crock is attractive enough to keep on the kitchen counter, so there is no need to hide it under the sink. Glazed inside and out, the crock will never stain or absorb food odors, and it has an activated-carbon filter in the vented lid to trap odors.

Composting is great.

I bought this to replace my small plastic compost bucket. It is much prettier. I like the filter in the lid. I wish that it was a bit larger.
Liked it so much that I've bought them for other people.

This is the 3rd one that I have purchased. They look really good on our kitchen counter.
Liked this so much I bought another as a gift to my brother.
This fits my need to keep organic waste out of my trash can.

It is beautiful in the kitchen and does a great job as a compost crock. And there is no odor!
good but too small

I am replacing a very similar item that got dropped one time too many. This is not the one. It's 20% smaller than the last one I bought from this shop. Otherwise, it's fine.
So perfect for the kitchen counter!
This crock is pretty ideal for our kitchen...good looking, a great size. We keep it right by the sink and all compostables go right in. So easy!

I have bought two of these, both in red, and they are a perfect fit for a small kitchen. I also like the fact that it forces me to empty the compost every other day or so; otherwise, i would leave it sitting around until mold forms! These crocks do not stain and are very easy to clean.

My wife liked that fact that it fit into our kitchen decor without being obtrusive. I like the fact that we are saving all of that good kitchen stuff for use in composting. The only downside - since we are in the middle of canning season, it fills up quick! But it looks great and there are no odors or flies.
