Butter bells are a time-tested way to store butter at room temperature. Simply pack a stick of softened butter in the bell and place it in the water-filled base. The water creates an airtight seal that protects the butter's flavor and freshness. The bone china crock is attractive for countertop storage.

Perfect Fresh Butter Keeper

I can not stand using butter from the refrigerator but love fresh soft butter. This Butter Bell is a perfect way to keep butter soft and fresh, ready for spreading. I change the water every two or three.
I am so glad I purchased this item

I purchased this Butter Bell because I really enjoy making my own butter, but I don't like having to wait for it to get to room (spreadable) temperature. If one follows the instructions, it will work great. Hints: I put ice in the water (in separate measuring cup) to make sure it is really cold. Remove ice before pouring into butter bell. Also, make sure you store the butter Bell in a cool place away from heat. I love my butter bell and will probably be purchasing another soon. The only thing I would like is for it to come in a larger size.
