I think these need to fully cover the ankle and foot and be totally impervious...ticks are mirco ...so small they can get through

These are great for those who are outside a lot in our tick-infested region. My only complaint is that I wish the fabric was tougher. I have several holes in mine already from snagging them on fallen branches & brush in the woods and jumping dogs.

Comfortable fit. Keeps you cool while stopping bug bites. Use a low sock to protect my feet and able to wear an open sandal with those to work in the garden.

Work great but need more sizes

These would probably do the job. But since they only come in one size, they are too big for my calves and start slipping down right after I put them on. By the time I finish in the garden, they're usually down to my ankles. If they can't be made in different sizes, would suggest adding a velcro strip at the top so they can be adjusted.

They are easy to put on & off and lightweight on these hot summer days.I wish that the fabric was more durable - snags in the woods and jumping dogs ripped the fabric.

They really seem to work.
from Willow, NY
These are very good - I sprayed them with pyrethrim and have not gotten any ticks while wearing them. They don't quite fit over my knee and so occasionally slip down, but that is not a big problem as they still cover my pant legs and the ticks can't get in. When I am gardening though, and on my knees, ticks can of course climb up my arms and they can also crawl on my pants above the gaiters, so these are not perfect. But they are a big improvement over stuffing my pant legs in my socks.
