Not a good choice for birds -- or any wildlife, apparently

Comments about : Songbird Tweets® Pears, Set of 6:
Nobody touched these when I hung them out, so I crushed one on left it on the ground. Days letter, it's still there. You'd think at least the mice would be interested, but not.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Merchant response: Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with the Songbird Tweets Pears, Set of 6 (#8587712). We're sorry that the birds haven't taken to them yet! Various seeds are used to attract different kinds of birds. Bird species that regularly feed on one type of seed will sometimes need time to accustom themselves to different types of seed. The birds might need more time to get used to the "tweets." If they get hungry enough they will begin to experiment more. We guarantee our products 100% and want to resolve this to your satisfaction, but we're unable to find your order. These seed balls are soft enough--birds are attracted to them. Made a good Christmas gift.

Makes a great gift!

Can't say enough good things about these and the birdseed eggs. I got them as gifts a few years ago and loved them. I waited too long to order them last year and they were sold out, so I made sure to place my order early this year! The siblings who got them as gifts just raved and made sure to make me write down where I got them from so they could get more! = )
Nice unusual gift
This was a nice surprise gift for a bird watching relative. She was very pleased, and hung them right out in the bushes near her windows. Seem to be well put together, and the birds like them.
Received as Christmas gift. Hung one out on a clothesline and waited. The first few days it went untouched but today I observed a family of bluebird, some chickadees and several tufted titmouse having a go at the pear. I'm thinking the remaining pears will go fast. I'm sold. Will purchase additional pears.
Will buy the prodct again.

The little wrens gathered daily under and on the feeders. These were very popular. I love seeing the little Wrens and Cardinals feeding together. And With them getting food in the winter, my trees should be full this spring and summer.

I'd like to order for myself
from Brunswick, GA
I got these as a gift and thought they are so nice I should order some for myself.
Takes patience but birds love it
I received these pears as a Christmas gift. I hung them & watched eagerly for the birds to appear. They were untouched for a whole year. Just when I was ready to take them down the birds went crazy for them. Within 2 months they were completely devoured. I would buy these as a gift. But I would include a note explaining that "eventually" the pears will be a bird magnet!!!!!
Birds not interested
By PA Birder
These pears were a Christmas gift from a friend. After having them outside for over a month, the birds have not touched them. I would not recommend them to anyone.
