Convenient biodegradable pots can be planted, pot and all, right into the garden! It’s easy for you — and it’s easy on plants, because roots aren’t disturbed during transplanting. Once they’re in the ground, the pots quickly begin to biodegrade so roots can grow through them and into the surrounding soil. The pots are crafted in France from sustainably harvested wood fibers without the use of glues or binders so they’re perfect for organic growing. OMRI-listed (certified by the Organic Material Review Institute).

Comments about : 3" Square Biodegradable Pots, Set of 24:
Good size for starting seeds and similar uses. They don't fall apart with repeated watering, either so they should last until they're ready to go in the ground. I'm happy that when it's time to transplant, all I have to do is plant the whole thing, no traumatizing the plants or disturbing the root system.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Easy way to start seeds

Nice size for plants that you don't want to shift to a bigger pot and just put in the ground when they are ready.

Used to move seedlings into for encouraging further growth before transplanting into garden.

I have used peat pots to start seeds or transplant seedlings in for years. Plant roots grow through them and they break down in the garden soil. They are especially good for growing seedlings that are easily shocked by pulling them out of a plastic cell to transplant such as cucumbers.
Just right for classroom use!!

I bought these pots to use when helping preschoolers and kindergarteners learn about gardening, by starting a seed. They do get soft, so I also gave the teacher paper bags for transporting the growing plant, right at mother's day. They were non breakable, held just the right amount of starting medium for one plant and came in a group of 24, just the right number for a class set. I bought extra and am using to start slips of vinca. I'm a bit late, but no worries. I don't have to unapt them when planting my p;its and other fillers, in May.

Seeds germinated without problem. Like that I can plant directly into the garden but still too early to plant outside.
I would buy them again

They work out great !.I Had my two grandkids over . So we did a planting project together. We planted tomato seeds to place in the garden later. We used the planting pellets along with the pots. The kids really enjoyed seeing the pellets swell up when you add the water. It was a great day and made some great memories .
