Sure to become your favorite garden tool, this Japanese-inspired multi-tool is a soil knife, trowel, twine cutter and more. The double-edged, rust-resistant blade is serrated on one side and sharpened on the other. Inch markings let you measure planting depth. Includes bottle opener and twine cutter. The handle is turned from bamboo, a rapidly renewable resource, and provides a sturdy grip. The metal pommel on the end can be used to pound in stakes. An attractive blackened finish gives the tool a vintage feel. The protective sheath is made from durable polyester nylon with a tough reinforced lining, leather accents and a stainless steel belt clip. The open end lets loose soil filter out.
Barebones™ designs and manufactures garden products with a focus on artful and ergonomic design, durability, and sustainable materials. Committed to a culture of giving back, Barebones partners with organizations and individuals around the world in relief projects to help those in need obtain the modern "barebones" needs of life — food, water, shelter and power.

I love this tool!
from Benicia, CA
Comments about : Barebones™ Hori Hori and Sheath:
It's great as a cutter, digger, weeder, and more. The Hori Hori is the one tool I keep with me whenever I'm in the garden. And the leather sheath is great for keeping it safe.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought this for both my gardening siblings
By Wagner's mom
I didn't know how much needed this tool to make gardening easier for me. I am so impressed with the quality and practicality that I ordered 2 more as Christmas presents.
One solid tool
from Hermiston, Oregon
I expect to get years of service out of this tool. This is a well built, hefty piece of equipment and Gardeners.com had an unexpectedly reasonable price. Perfect for a surprise birthday gift.
Multi purpose tool encourages new gardeners

New gardeners can get frustrated with too many tools. This hand tool can cut, weed, make furrows and with its own pouch, will always be handy.

I've wanted one of these for a while. Sharp, sturdy and versatile. A real game-changer that does the job of several sharp tools. Already can't live without it.
This may be the Greatest Gardening Tool EVER invented!
from Clinton Twp, MI
I bought one of these for myself, and it is truly IS the Greatest Gardening Tool EVER invented! My two neighbors, who are also avid gardeners, were so impressed with it that I went and bought one for each of them. It has one slight design flaw. The blade wants to rotate on the handle when digging and twisting in our heavy clay soils. But, I re-Engineered it to solve that problem.

This knife is high quality to the degree that even my hunting and fishing crazy husband loved it When working in the yard or garden sometimes you need a knife to get the job done. This one does that and is beautiful too! I love it so much that I would give it as a gift. Very nice.
I liked it so much I bought two.
I have recommended this tool to many other gardeners.

Great duo. Would buy again.
By Lisa at Greenbow
Very handy. Use it daily.
Great gift for a gardener
Haven't gotten a chance to use this yet, but got this for my boyfriend for Christmas and he LOVED it. He initially thought I got him a dagger of some sort so there was a bit of explaining to do. Got it based on the great reviews it has on the site and it looks great in person, well crafted. Hope it works as well as everyone says!
