Dramatic angles and beautiful cedar butcher block combine to create a stunning planter that makes a welcome addition to any outdoor living space. A beautiful way to grow vegetables right at your doorstep! The planter fits in a compact space, and the integrated trellis provides an additional 12 square feet of vertical growing space -- perfect for cucumbers and peas, as well as flowering vines. Big 4" openings in the trellis make harvesting easy. A shelf provides handy storage for gardening supplies. Made from rot-resistant cedar and durable aluminum for many years of enjoyment.
To make the most of our precious forest resources, we use reclaimed pieces of high-quality North American cedar from lumber mill trimmings and give them new life in our butcher-block planters. Only the best reclaimed pieces are selected and glued together to form strong, solid panels, which are planed smooth to highlight the attractive variations in color and grain. The skilled craftsmen in our Vermont factory transform the panels into these uniquely beautiful planters.

Comments about : Apex Trellis Planter:
The holes on the back legs do not line up with the holes that are drilled in the wood. It is a bit wobbly. It'll take me about 3 hours of work to correct these problems.

Hard to put together. Drilled holes do not line up.
By Parsley Breath
from Western Pennsylvania
I expected this to be a high quality product based on previous purchases from Gardeners Supply, but I was disappointed. I had difficulty attaching some parts that did not have pilot holes drilled for the smaller screws. It's difficult to control the angle of the screws while screwing them in. The wood is soft and accepts the screw easily, but if the bottom ones aren't screwed in straight, they are difficult to get in.Some of the holes that are drilled in for the legs are off center and will not accept the supplied screws. I would have expected that all manufacturing on the product would be computer controlled or the manufacturer would have relied on a template at manufacture time to make certain that the drilling matched up with the holes on the back legs. They do not in the one that I received. I'm not certain yet if I'm going to send this back. I've already put two hours into constructing it and would hate to have to disassemble and pack it all up again. The completed raised bed also wobbles. If that doesn't stop once the soil is in, I think I will send it back.
