Amaryllis are so dramatic and elegant, but the top-heavy blooms are also prone to flopping and toppling over their pots. This sectional brass stake is a versatile and elegant way to support amaryllis stems and keep them beautifully upright. It consists of four brass rods plus a top loop; use as many rods as you need, depending on the height of your amaryllis, and top with the loop. Insert the stake into the soil, taking care not to damage the amaryllis bulb, and then place the amaryllis stem into the loop. Using all four rods gives you a 22-3/4" stake — plenty tall for your biggest amaryllis varieties. Use fewer rods for shorter varieties.

Next Year I Won't Find My Amaryllis Lying Down On The Job!
By Jan from MN
Comments about : Gift Bag Amaryllis Stake:
So disheartening to come downstairs and find my beautiful amaryllis sprawled out on the table! A few leaves had snapped, but the bloom was thankfully OK. My husband grabbed what was handy - an ugly paint stir stick - and shoved it in the dirt and we gently twist tied the stem to the "stake". Lovely. I read about the amaryllis stakes from Gardener's Supply Co. on Susan Mulvihill's blog and immediately bought 2. One for us and one for a friend who had a similar experience. We have both repotted our large bulbs into heavier pots and are both look forward to using this stake. I like that it comes in sections so you can add height as you need it. And I love that it looks so nice as well....No more twist ties and paint stir sticks in my Christmas decor!

Really liked these
First off loved that they are adjustable! It helped when the flowers were at different levels. What I liked is you could take the top off and put it around it and then attach to the stake. Next time I am going to use deeper pots for more support. I wish they were lower in price. I did buy alot of them . I would recommend them.
Overall, this is just okay. I like that the height can be adjusted, but it could be a whole lot sturdier than it is. I also feel that it's a bit overpriced.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Wimpy, overpriced stake. This is the most disappointing product I have bought from Gardeners Supply, and I have bought many over the years. I would not recommend this at all.
looking forward to a tall amaryllis

My amaryllis is 2" high so far. I am looking forward to a tall and lovely plant--that will need its stake.Appears to be a very well designed product.

Love it. Being able to adjust length is handy/convenient.

These stakes are just what i need. They are adjustable - by taking the sections apart - so work well for shorter varieties as well as Amaryllis that top 3 feet. The stems fit neatly into the curlicue without pinching.
Would not buy again
Bulb I ordered will not bloom so wasted my money on this stake.

I can't wait to try it. My Amaryllis is slowly coming up. This should make it so much easier and nicer looking for my plant. I even bought one for my boss.
