Corten steel is a unique and durable weathering steel that develops a protective patina of rust over time that safeguards the base metal from corrosion. The steel arrives in its natural grey state and will build its patina over a period of weeks. (If you can’t wait for that rustic appeal, our quick-aging recipe can help you achieve your perfect patina in one afternoon.)
For best results, we recommend filling with 22 bags of our premium potting mixes:
- 18 gauge Corten Steel
- 74" L x 22" W x 17.5" H
- Planting depth: 17.5"
- Soil capacity: 435 quarts (17 cubic feet) of potting mix
- Weight: 75 lbs.
