Comments about : Rustic Compost Crock:

This crock is the perfect size for a kitchen counter, looks fantastic, has a very easy-opening lid, is easy to carry out to the compost pile, and is basically odor-free thanks to the easy-to-fit filters. Look no further for the PERFECT compost receptacle.

        Not a good design

Comments about : Rustic Compost Crock:

This is a very poor design. Emptying it is very difficult as the neck is smaller than the rest of the pot. If it is full at all, it is very difficult to empty and if there is any moisture involved, it creates a messy, smelly... you get the picture. We purchased one of the stainless steel ones with straight sides and my wife has commented a number of times about the simplicity and ease of using it.

It looks great and works well. We've had no bad smells. The only thing I would change would be to shorten the handle slightly - it is so long that it rests on the counter and looks a little strange. Also, the filters can get icky if you let it get too full. You can just rinse the filter in the sink though, so not a big deal.
