Carry a Bushel of Coir Mulch in One Hand

  • Lightweight mulch block hydrates to 2 cu. ft. of mulch
  • Mulch helps suppress weeds and conserves soil moisture
  • 100% organic, biodegradable and renewable
We’ve all been there: lugging heavy bags of mulch to the car, straining our backs and making a mess. These dehydrated coir mulch blocks weigh just 9 pounds and are delivered right to your door. Just add water and in 20 minutes, you’ll have 2 cubic feet of earth-friendly mulch. Made from coconut husks, coir has better water retention than bark, and reduces the temperature and moisture fluctuation by 50%. Keeps its rich color, too.

Product Details

    Comments about : Mulch Block:

I put my blocks out as early in the Soring as I can. I I place them all over and let the Spring rains moisten them. We spend a lot of tim out in the pool/garden area so walking in it is not an issue. My most favorite mulch product.

I ordered several blocks to mulch in my front garden bed where I mix flowers and vegetables. The blocks are lightweight and easy to move, compact and take up little room until I need them.

Bought several of these last year after using a different brand and, while I liked it a lot - it was too expensive to use on the large beds I needed it for. So I started a search, and came upon these beauties!! They work every bit as well, cover nicely, don't float away, and best of all, are reasonably priced, especially when you buy more than one! I have a large heavy plastic garden cart that I put these in, then pour quite warm water over 'em and watch them plump! I will absolutely be getting more of these to use. Be advised that a box of 5 or so of them is pretty darn heavy, so take that into account when lifting up your new purchase of them! ;)

I use to supplement leaf mulch. It is so easy to use- just water and watch it expand. It does not not degrade quickly. Just stack the blocks on a shelf

              Comments about : Mulch Block:

The mulch blocks are pricier than the bagged stuff you can get around town, but this stuff does not turn into concrete like that bagged stuff does. The bagged junk does keep the weeds down, but I swear it also kills the plants I want, COIR mulch does not. I've been buying it for years and I will be buying it again.

WOW! This makes life so much easier. Easy to store, easy to activate and does the job well. I bought this to cover my garlic and tulip plants as well as some pot grown trees and bushes for the winter. It makes mulching easy and not a chore anymore. I just wish it came in half blocks to make it a little easier to handle and fit into a bucket (I had to chop mine to fit and soak) and for those times when you don't need the entire block but I'm really not complaining. I love this stuff, it's worth the extra cost.

This could not be simpler to use. Put the block in a container, water, let it dry and mulch away! The mulch color is beautiful! I will never lug another mulch bag from the garden center - this is my go to from now on!
