Comments about Green Stoneware Compost Crock:

Product looks great and it serves its purpose except for the narrow mouth. When the container is full it's impossible to get the bags out without tearing them.
E mails are excessive!! One or two a week is fine, but i get them EVERY DAY sometimes more than once a day. It's too much.

              Poor Design and Chipped

Comments about Green Stoneware Compost Crock:

This compost crock is very pretty, but it turns out the design is terrible. It's narrower at the top than lower down and, as a result, it's a struggle to pull the compost out through the opening. This is especially true if you have packed it pretty full, as I tend to do, and used a plastic bag liner. By the time you get the bag worked through the opening, the bag usually has ripped and goo is all over. In addition, there's a curious thin pottery rim around the inside of the top making the opening even smaller. That somehow chipped and created a very sharp edge which slices open the bags - and my fingers. I wanted to love this, but I am sorry to say that it has now been tossed out. I have subsequently purchased a custom-made straight-sided crock from an online merchant and it's exactly what I need. Empties in a snap.
