Barebones™ Garden Scissors: A Hardworking Tool at a Value Price

The long, thin blades of these garden scissors snip through herbs and greens with ease and make quick work of gathering a bouquet of blooms or deadheading a bed of flowers. They're also perfect for precision work on your prized roses. Large handles let you hold them comfortably with or without gloves. Contoured bamboo insets add a touch of panache and, more importantly, make them comfortable in your hand so you can gather and trim to your heart's content. These rugged scissors are made from heat-treated stainless steel that is durable and rust-resistant. An attractive blackened finish gives them a vintage feel. Blades can be sharpened to ensure clean cuts.

Cons

    Best Uses

Comments about : Barebones™ Garden Scissors:

The Barebones Garden Scissors are very good for snipping/cutting small/very small plants (anything soft-stemmed and under 1/2" in diameter). They are really good for snipping herbs. The large handles make them easy to handle. They also do very well for cutting squares of peat that contain seedlings for planting. I buy lots of the squares for seedlings/transplants, but you do have to be careful when separating them when the seedlings/transplants are ready for final planting. The long blades on these scissors are great for this.

I steer clear of trimmers with a coil connecting the blades. Thought this would be sturdier, and it started out to be before the blades fell apart, rendering it useless.

Comments about : Barebones™ Garden Scissors:

I use it for lightweight trimming, cutting etc., outside. I am somewhat disappointed in its comfort level, as I tend to grab them when not wearing gloves and they are quite uncomfortable.
