Apply water just where you want it — and not where you don't. With the Snip-n-Drip Garden Row Soaker System you can easily create a convenient watering system for your vegetable garden. No special tools required — just use scissors to cut the hoses to the sizes you need. Snap the fittings in place and you're ready to water. The weeping action of soaker hoses delivers water right to the roots, with minimal loss due to evaporation and runoff. Includes 100' of 1/2" soaker hose, 25' of 1/2" garden hose, one faucet adapter, one quick-connect with coupler, three 3-way hose couplers, one hose coupler and four end plugs. We recommend our Easy-Out Earth Staples, sold separately, to hold soaker hoses in place.

A bare bones kit. Could be more versatile.

Comments about : Garden Row Snip-n-Drip Soaker System:

The tees that come with the kit are clumsy. A normal tee at 90 degrees is far preferable.

I had this system some years ago. It was good. Flexible, durable and effective. After several re-configurations I needed a new set. I look forward to efficient watering next year.

    Works Like a Charm

Comments about : Garden Row Snip-n-Drip Soaker System:

We had planned a three-week trip overseas in June and figured we just wouldn't have a vegetable garden this year. When I saw these, I decided to give them a try. We bought two kits, one for the vegetable garden and one for our established raspberry patch. Along with some timers, these performed very well. We left the garden with seedlings and came home to knee-high corn.

I had read some comments that the ends pop off and gardens were flooded. We didn't have this trouble at all. My husband followed the directions to dip the ends of the soaker hose in hot water and then pop the end on. They have stayed put. The only issue we had was they water too well, so we had to reduce the watering time. Depositing the water right on the root area is very efficient, however you do need to be mindful of the different watering needs of plants. Since you can't regulate the water on individual plants, the ones on the same hose need to have the same water requirement. We will put these up for the winter and see if they are durable enough for a few more years. For us, this was the perfect solution - we could have a fun trip and still have a summer garden.

      Great system

      Pros

      Cons

      • Limited Life

      Best Uses

      • Raised Beds
      • Vegetable Garden

Comments about : Garden Row Snip-n-Drip Soaker System:

      Easy to put together
Soakers need to be close together, water doesn't spread very far
Soakers will develop cracks and leaks over time that are not easy(or possible) to repair
This is my second order of this product. I have had this system for several years and it is starting to deteriorate. I guess I can't expect it to last forever. I like its design and decided to reorder.
It does need to be laid out and picked up each season
It would be good if the soaker hose were sold separately because that has the shortest life.

Comments about : Garden Row Snip-n-Drip Soaker System:

I live in an arid area without running water. I had been using a douse-n-drought method of watering on my fruit and herb garden and my plants were stressed. I got the snip-n-drip system, attached it to an elevated rain barrel and was able to provide a much better source of water. My garden is a lovely lush oasis in a field of dried grass. Thank you!

        A life saver

        Cons

        • Connections Leak

        Best Uses

        • Watering Any Garden

Comments about : Garden Row Snip-n-Drip Soaker System:

A soaker hose kit was laid out in my raised bed garden. I actually had to get two to cover all the beds. I also got a splitter to even up the distribution. It is a wonderful idea and can be executed with ease. No matter how tight you make the connections or even or there are washers, most connections leak. I just position them so the leak goes into the garden. This kit and a timer/electronic scheduler, saves the garden when I cannot be there everyday. The soaker hose system is much easier than setting up a hose or sprinkler every time you have to water. It is mostly reliable. After a year in the garden, there was two tears that required replacing that section.
