Our Gardener's Revolution Planter has a unique top-down watering system that delivers the right amount of moisture to the soil. The new, woven-poly liner opens with a zipper for planting, then zips shut — you won't injure the plant trying to push it through a hole. The liner is also air-permeable to aerate roots and prevent heat build-up. An improved, two-part powder-coated steel cage encloses the liner, and the planter hangs from our unique swivel hook that makes it a breeze to turn your plant. This is the upside-down planter that really works!

Works ok but reservoir rots and you can't buy a replacement reservoir and in trying to not waste, I hate buying a whole new unit when I just need the reservoir

This works very well. The only con is getting replacement liners. You have to buy a kit with soil and fertilizer (which I don't use). The water pot on top allows for an easy way to make sure the plants are properly watered. I would highly reccomend this for anyone with limited land and who hates weeding.

I will be better able to comment next spring/summer when I actually put put out my tomato planters. I watched my neighbor growing hers in this type of planter this past summer while I watered & groomed my plants tied to poles in my garden. Her's produced more tomatoes than I did, which is what motivated me to try these hanging planters next season. If they are like most of the merchandise I've gotten from Gardener's supply over the years, I will be MORE than happy with the outcome.

i've had stellar results here in miami. the secret is using the correct varieties. the varieties you get at home stores and most nurseries aren't that great. grow from seeds. i do wish there was a better watering system. i must water almost every day.

We have tried these planters for three years now. The first year wasn't too bad , we did get a few tomatoes. Last year we got a few, and when they came out with the side zip bag ordered 2 more. We are so dissapointed. Bought all the right things for the planters from Gardeners supply, and not one tomato this year, so we are done with trying to grow upside down tomatoes. It's a lot of work for little or no results.

In this second year of use I bought two more, was disappointed that the newly designed water tray collapsed, the water in all of them dripped out quickly and I can count my total harvest on two hands. I needed a second person to help put them together, plant the tomato seedlings and hang the bags. The one tomato plant in a container five feet away will have a larger harvest than these four put together.

I was intrigued by this concept. Good thing there is a video to watch for assembly; it was still quite challenging to fill/hang. A bag of dirt is HEAVY for sure. I planted the suggested bush type tomato plants and waited 3 1/2 months for....nothing. Water does drain at the bottom as pictured, making the stems rot pretty fast(1 gone/ 1 to go, with little growth) The size of the planter bag literally shades the plants from getting any sun--bummer. The quality is excellent, so I think next year I'll cut small pockets in the sides and plant flowers in tiers.

Purchased multiple units, suspended from iron pipe, supported and attached to multiple T-posts. Altered angle of pipe to facilitate full sun for each plant. Initially, was quite happy with the setup. By mid-summer, the soft reservoir had deteriorated and was useless. By late summer, the portion of the hanging bags extending above the soil line completely failed, somewhat slower deterioration lower. Unable to grasp how some gardeners claim to use for multiple growing season - won't last two thirds of one here! Unless Gardeners Supply changes supplier of fabric parts to another supplier, won't be buying here again. the Chinese manufacturers strike again with their substandard products!

Last year I tried a cheap supermarket model and decided that next year I really need superior ones.

I will be using these planters next spring for my tomatoes. So far I've tried using buckets, the topsy turvy kind that I bought at a discount store and so far, the planters that I received 2 for 1 seem to have the best design and the best capacity.
