Our Gardener's Revolution® Planter has a unique top-down watering system that delivers the right amount of moisture to the soil. The new, woven-poly liner opens with a zipper for planting, then zips shut — you won't injure the plant trying to push it through a hole. The liner is also air-permeable to aerate roots and prevent heat build-up. An improved, two-part powder-coated steel cage encloses the liner, and the planter hangs from our unique swivel hook that makes it a breeze to turn your plant. This is the upside-down planter that really works!

Comments about Revolution Planters, Buy 1, Get 1 Free:

I used the Revolution Planters last year for tomatoes. Really liked growing them this way and added another set of four for this year. The new version, with the zipper in the liner and two piece cage seemed like a good improvement. However, the cage was difficult to fit together. Also, the holes in the liner were not lined up to fit with the reinforced areas on the cage. Either have to cut new holes for the hooks or attach the hooks at an unreinforced area. I think the basic concept is good but it needed to be tested before hitting the market.

I am a little bummed that I purchased these for full price, since now they are 1/2 off but that being said I am having great plant growth in the 4 bags I have. They are hanging on hangers which are attached to my house, formerly holding very large and heavy flower pots and get about 8 hours of hard core sun each day.
I am having a problem keeping the soil moist, and notice that the water holder doesn't empty very much and I am having to water underneath it directly to the soil.
The instructions were fairly easy to follow, but the whole reservoir/wicking strips are really difficult to use efficiently. I am considering taking out the reservoir since I am watering under it anyway.
As far as construction is concerned, I am a little worried that the clips that hold the cage together will not last that long and the holes in the green bags do not line up with the place to hook it to the cage. Since it doesn't line up, there is bunching on one side while the other sides are so tight it barely fits. I think i might take the hooks out of the bag and then reclip the hoooks to the cage.

The water evaporates too quickly in the sun. I have to fill the well daily. There should be something over the reservoir to deter the rapid evaporation. Plus I paid [$] for each of the six planters I purchased less than a month ago. Now you're selling them 2 for [$]. Perhaps you will issue me a credit so that I can try some of your other products.Sincerely,

After some difficulty assembling it, (there is still a "pleat" that doesn't seem right),we inserted the tomato. All was well, it appeared to be thriving, it grew so well that the dog ate the first ripe tomato! And then the water just didn't seem to be getting through to the plant. Despite checking to make sure that the wick was properly placed, only two small damp spots were seen on the soil. We tried several adjustments as we watched the plant shrivel. Might try again, Any suggestions?

I love the fact the bag zips which makes transplanting much easier. The only problem I see is the water reservior needs a cover to keep the bugs out of it. We cut a piece of window screen, fitted it over the bowl and held it with a few clothspins. All in all, I love them.

Seemed like a great product. Especially the wick design to keep the planter watered. Seemed like it would soak up the water in the reservoir every day in the heat. All of a sudden, I noticed the tomato plant wilted and drying up. There was plenty of water in the reservoir, but the wick could no longer soak up water because it was all moldy. I removed the reservoir and the moldy wick and don't use them anymore. Bad idea.

The structure is much nicer and stronger than the TV plastic lime green hangers. the dark green is gorgeous and blends in with the outdoors. the tomatoes are looking great and i have full trust that here in vt we will have great tomatoes with the concept of consistent water flow. But...nothing is free, there is always a but, filling the bowl every day is comparable to having just one cow. you have to be available everyday. i have 6 kids and VT-type neighbors that will drop in and help if we are off for more than a day. great product ..

One buttonhole didn't match up with the designated place on the frame so I had to make me own buttonhole in the correct spot. Luckily I sew so that wasn't a problem for me. It would be for others and would be easy for you to correct. It is easier to fill and hang if there are two peoples hands involved. I'm still learning how much water to add since sometimes it runs out the bottom.
