Here at Gardener's Supply in Vermont, we believe cedar is the best wood for building raised garden beds. It's naturally rot resistant, assuring your structure will last for years. If you treat it with a natural protectant, you can get even more life out your garden.
Spruce up or coordinate your raised beds and wooden garden structures while protecting them from moisture, mildew, mold, and UV degradation. This deep-penetrating stain is made right here in Vermont from whey — a byproduct of our robust cheese industry. Completely non-toxic, it cleans up with soap and water. Choose from four great colors to make your wood both beautiful and durable.
Made from naturally occurring plant and mineral extracts, this wood preservative penetrates wood fibers to provide protection from sun and water. A single application results in a long-lasting, maintenance-free surface. Will not wear off, peel or fade; treated wood develops a beautiful patina. This plant- and mineral-based formula is based on a special family recipe and has been used on marinas, houses and decking for 60 years.
These solid North American cedar boards are milled to precisely fit our Lifetime Raised Bed Corners, so it's easier than ever to construct custom sized raised beds. Boards are milled to 5-1/2" high x 1-1/2" thick. Raised bed corners are sold separately.
Use these versatile corners to create everything from multi-level raised beds to angled landscape edging. Use singly for 5-1/2" high beds or edging, or stack two corners for an 11" high bed. Use with standard 2 x 6 lumber (fastening screws are included).
