About Us
Our Burlington garden center has a rich history that began in 1986, when Gardener’s Supply established offices on a 300-acre floodplain along the Winooski River. Early employees organized work parties to clean up decades of illegal dumping, transforming their new “backyard” into a hub for community gardening and food production. These efforts helped spark the creation of the Intervale Center, now an independent nonprofit leader in organic farming, community agriculture, and land restoration. Our garden center opened in 1989, deepening Gardener’s Supply Company’s community presence and strengthening the local food system alongside the Intervale Community Farm. Be sure to explore the Intervale’s scenic trails and working farms during your visit.

For Your Convenience
In addition to top-quality plants, tools, and supplies, we offer a range of services including plant repoing, plant rentals, interior plantscaping, and delivery and installation of raised beds, trees, shrubs, and perennials. You may also order bulk mulch and soil for pickup or delivery. Plus, we host regular workshops and other events so area gardeners can learn, grow, and build community.

Onsite parking and restroom access are available, and we are wheelchair accessible.

While you’re in town, be sure to explore the rest of Vermont’s largest city.
