If you're using the "heap" composting method, turning and aerating your pile will speed up the decomposition process and give you finished compost faster. Traditional methods of turning a pile are laborious and can aggravate your back, but with this innovative tool the job is a piece of cake! Two sets of hinged, toothed wings fold up against the shaft as you strike it into the compost then, as you pull upward, unfold and securely grab onto the composting material so you can move it around. The T-handle has a cushioned, non-slip rubber grip that keeps it firmly in your hand, even as you rotate and work the pile. Once you're done, simply hose it off and put it away!
- Powder-coated steel, rubber handle cover
- 8" W x 1" D x 36" H
- Handle is 8-1/4" total length
- Aerators extend 3-1/4" on each side (plus width of stake)
- Weighs 2 lbs.
